The crowd was very good tonight and the Highlands students were actually into the game and cheering like it was a regular season game.

I agree with you. I thought the crowd was quite good, and better than many regular season games I've seen. I think the Rocks had more people in the actual stands, but we had lots in the end zones, the concession stand crowd, and the rail Birds.

The QB Wright is a soph. Hatcher is a soph. Quick Is a soph. Don't know how soph Dawkins (rb) did. He is the son of former UL running back Ralph Dawkins.

Was a copy of Highlands' roster available at the scrimmage tonight?

 

We saw some cards around but didn't get one.

A lot of kids out there with cramps tonight but man it was very very humid and I cant imagine having that equiptment on and playing.

Yeah, on one play in the 4th qtr., it looked like there were four or five Birds trying to smooth out a cramp. I felt especially bad for our #6; he was fighting them all night -- yet still having an awesome game.

I hope Newforms made some up again this year. Those were great!

I was talking to Jody Demling at a T basketball game this winter. I was asking him who this young player was and he told me it was James Quick and said he will be a major D1 football recruit.

Quick for Trinity is amazing and only a sophmore. I also thought #24 for Trinity was something special.

That kid is very very special. If he is not a top 150 player his senior year there is something wrong.
