Nothing about his actions before Doubleday said he was hurt after the game indicated any injury at all...
Constantly referring to LaRussa with your pet name for him tells me all I need to know ...

Staff can only go by what the player tells them.

There are some pretty obvious signs of a concussion. If he had them they would have shown up right away and he shouldn't have been allowed to catch bullpens. For his safety.

I wouldn't even think of naming my pet after him!

Well... Upon reflection, Boozer doesn't sound too bad for a pet.

Seriously sweet. Watch this video from the 1:20 to 2:20 mark where LaRue is in the picture for most of the time. He does not bleed, hold his face, head or ribs even once and the video is directly after Cueto kicking. He is the one being restrained by Hernandez right after, and if he was just cut that bad why is he not bleeding? It doesn't add up...

Yes there are but the did say it was a mild one.

Do you really think that athletes do not play with concussions?

Constantly trying to be a contrarian to Reds fans for a decade has told me all I need to know about you for years. Go Cubs Go. Maybe next year boss...

It doesn't happen in sports today nearly as much as it used to. I'm sure some slip through the cracks but if they do it's on the training staff. If it does, it's at the HS level where they don't have as much trainer coverage.

So let me get this right. Larue got stitches when he didn't really need them.

Football players go back on the field with concussions. Athletes are stubborn when it comes to injuries. I suffered a concussion in college and continued to play. Stupid at the time but the competitor in me got me back on the court.

I have never been told by a doctor that I had one. But there are two games in my life, both soccer actually, that I banged heads with another guy going after a goal kick, both in the first half. I don't remember the second half of either game, but supposively I played very well lol. I have several friends on the football team who have done the same.

Scary thing is, I drove home those nights too. I didn't know anything was wrong, and neither did anyone else because I functioned just fine.

Your right not as much as it use to but it still happens from time to time.

I am asking a simple question. Where is the blood? Where is the reaction to cuts so bad you need stitches? Can you at least see why it doesn't add up? The video shows him not bleeding a full minute after he is so brutally kicked, right???

On the play at the plate that Votto got hosed.

What in the world took him so long to score? A line drive with a hump where the left fielder has to go to his left, he went on the crack and didn't hesitate, AND it was cut.

I guess it wasn't a bad idea to send him because of the above but with no outs, they could've held him.

Didn't cost them but it was disappointing that they only got one out of that.

I watched it and I could not see blood but that doesn't mean he didn't need stitches. On the ribs I have explained my thinking on that. Injuries are a lot more sore the next day. I have done that before. Get hurt but not felt much but the next day could hardly move.

If you get cut deep enough to need stitches there's going to be blood...most likely quite a bit of it.
