August 15, 201016 yr You're right, take someone out of the rotation and put Homer in. Who are you going to take out? 2011 Rotation Volquez Cueto Wood Leake Bailey I doubt Arroyo or Harang are brought back.
August 15, 201016 yr I don't think anyone is saying to take someone out of the rotation and put Bailey in ... but he is still just 24 and still has plenty of time to put together a good career. You don't ditch a young pitcher with his arm just because he has a shaky start to his career. The bullpen might be a good move for him, and he's always there if needed to start ... you can never have too much pitching.
August 15, 201016 yr 2011 Rotation Volquez Cueto Wood Leake Bailey I doubt Arroyo or Harang are brought back. Harang is a no-brainer ... as well as Arroyo has pitched at times, I can see the Reds taking a long look at the possibility of picking up his option.
August 15, 201016 yr Harang is a no-brainer ... as well as Arroyo has pitched at times, I can see the Reds taking a long look at the possibility of picking up his option. I think they pick it up...then trade him in the winter. He's proved to be a valuable pitcher and his option isn't a horrible price for a bigger market team.
August 15, 201016 yr Weak move by HP ump. Votto wasn't happy but he didn't show him up at all. Awfully thin skin for a MLB ump. Guilty conscience.
August 15, 201016 yr I turned it on just in time to see that. Can't say I blame Votto for being upset - that zone was awful. Or maybe it wasn't according to Fox Trax. Well, the toss was awful anyway.
August 15, 201016 yr I understand that you can't argue balls and strikes but all umpires let players get away with turning to face them and getting pretty heated. Votto wasn't looking at him or anything.
August 15, 201016 yr Making them chase pitches above the belt. This could be an interesting game if he keeps calling those strikes. Those are high for the LLWS.
