August 15, 201016 yr Maybe. Maybe not. Do I really need to go back and dig up when you were on the flip side? Surely by now you can grasp the fact I don't take what I say here very seriously. I could dig up all the totally off base points you've made about any baseball topic and look like I "got you".Really? Be my guest ... it will be a tough search.

August 15, 201016 yr Author Really? Be my guest ... it will be a tough search. We could start with how bad you felt the Rolen trade was for the Reds. There's one and I searched for 12 seconds... :thumb:
August 15, 201016 yr Given how poorly Gomes has hit recently, how long a leash does he have at this point, especially with lefty options (Nix and Edmonds) and much better defensive players available to spell him against tough righties?
August 15, 201016 yr Author How about this thread where you predicted a 4th place finish? (Some of you could have a lot of fun with ol Les on this one) http://www.bluegrasspreps.com/showthread.php?199346-Reds-in-the-NL-Central&highlight=Predict+The+Reds+Number+Of+Wins
August 15, 201016 yr Sometimes you're right, sometimes you're wrong ... but it does nothing to prove the point about being a contrarian. And where is the "totally off base" stuff?

August 15, 201016 yr Author Sometimes you're right, sometimes you're wrong ... but it does nothing to prove the point about being a contrarian. And where is the "totally off base" stuff? Only ran 2 searches and found two spots where you were wrong in a matter of 10 minutes. One thinking giving up two unproven arms for a proven leader that the franchise has been sorely missing until the trade was a bad move for the Reds. The other where you felt Bruce was a main key to the season. If I have time later today I'll find more... :thumb:
August 15, 201016 yr Author The deadline to sign Draft picks is 11:59 p.m. ET on Monday night. By the looks of things, the Reds should be able to get their deal done with 12th overall pick Yasmani Grandal. Reason No. 1 -- Grandal is already in town. The former Univ. of Miami catcher has spent the last two nights watching the Reds-Marlins games from general manager Walt Jocketty's suite, seated next to suspended manager Dusty Baker. Reason No. 2 -- Grandal has already taken his physical. "They're progressing," Jocketty said of the talks with Grandal's agent, Greg Genske. "We had him in [saturday] for a physical. We wanted to get it out of the way so we didn't have to wait until the last minute." http://marksheldon.mlblogs.com/archives/2010/08/grandal_in_town_has_taken_phys.html

It's always a hit and run and you never see him again to tell him how wrong he was.
August 15, 201016 yr Homer Bailey's career minor league #'s 38-28 with an ERA of 3.59 His major league #'s 13-15 with an ERA of 5.46 I believe nearly half of those 13 wins are against the Pirates, you take out those numbers he has an ERA probably near 7. Let him make a spot start to give the young guys a rest, but put him in the bullpen. I am so sick of hearing how great he looked at Louisville.

August 15, 201016 yr He's 24. Give me a break... You're right, take someone out of the rotation and put Homer in. Who are you going to take out?
