August 6, 201016 yr With a stomach that isn't feeling so well, I decided not to go to Goettafest tonight and attempt to be part of the goetta coney eating contest. I'm gonna go down on Sunday and be part of it. lol MJ, if you wanna come down and witness it, first beer is on me lol. And if I win it, we'll have a few pitchers at Bulldog's lol. August 7, 201016 yr It is either 5 p.m. or 7 p.m. I'll call the folks tomorrow and see if there is a definitive time so I can tell some folks. I'm hoping its at 5 p.m. so I can get back on the TANK before it stops running...lol.

August 7, 201016 yr Start with a little butter in a cast iron skillet. Fry thin slices until crispy brown. Cover it with an over-medium egg with a side of shredded hash browns...and enjoy. Oh man, I just did it to myself...now I need some goetta!

They didn't go to the Goetta Fest, but did get "ice balls". Like a snow cone, with a scoop of ice cream inside. I had never heard of them, but she said they were great.
