July 24, 201016 yr I think it would be a good risk. I think the Bengals could be a Super Bowl contender this season. A productive TO could be a huge addition. If he doesn't work out, cut him loose, you're out some money. In today's NFL, I think you have to go for it when the window to win is open. At this point in his career, I think TO could be had for a price that won't kill you if it doesn't work out. And, the payoff could be big.

July 24, 201016 yr If Bryant is healthy enough to play, Chad, TO, and him would be about as good as trio in the league as you could get, that is if they play anywhere close to their potential. TO and Bryant are both guys who can go over the middle and play in the slot, although I think Bryant would be best suited for this with TO opposite of Chad on the outside. With a healthy Carson Palmer, this could be the new four horseman/ air raid. Personally I'm getting pumped for what my Boys' are putting out there. Roy Williams has been working hard as ever, and if Miles Austin can keep building off of last seasons success, those two with Dez Bryant can be a potent combination because of the diversity in their games. That's not even mentioning Jason Witten. With Felix Jones catching passes out of the backfield.
July 24, 201016 yr I think the Bengals will sign T.O. and put Bryant on the PUP list and be out the first 6 weeks.
July 24, 201016 yr One concern I have is that TO has some of the worst hands in the NFL. He is always near the top of the league in dropped passes. I think Carson is a guy that is going to go to guys he can trust and if TO starts dropping balls again I think it could be bad news. He's also not even half of what he used to be. Still I think it is a risk the Bengals should take.
July 25, 201016 yr ESPN reporting that the Rams are stepping up, with the Bengals wanting to "evaluate" their young WRs. I got the impression that Rams and Bengals are about equal in their chances of landing TO.
July 25, 201016 yr I would imagine TO just wants a job at this point, but if he feels the Bengals are serious with their interest, it wouldn't surprise me if he waited to see if the Bengals offered even if the Rams make the first offer. I'd assume he'd rather play for a contender than the Rams.

The report said that the Rams had specifically asked TO if he would be willing to play for them even though they're not a contender (not sure I'd market my franchise that way) and he said yes. Just who is it that would be trying to throw the ball to TO in St. Louis? Boller?
July 25, 201016 yr TO won't have too many options but I'd think I'd rather retire than play for the Rams. Hopefully Bradford has some thick skin.

Rams are not going anywhere this year. Plus I do not want TO on the team. They are rebuilding and would rather see the young players play.
July 25, 201016 yr T.O. would bite Bardfords head off soon as he didn't get the thrown his way. Not TO, he is so calm during the games.
