Just asking to see what everyone else thinks. I thought they were looking to limit Leake's innings. Halfway through and he has now thrown 109 innings.

However, in a cracker box like Philly you have to come get him at the first hint. You CANNOT let your rookie pitcher give up 3 hits in the 9th and KEEP him in. Maybe the reason is that the bullpen is tired. That's the only semi-excuse that would make sense.

He was at 88 pitches, and had dominated the Phillies all night.

July 10, 201016 yr Author I get so sick and tired of seeing Choke O coming into a game. He NEVER challenges a hitter. He throws everything outside, outside, outside. That's twice now the Reds have blown a 6 run 9th inning lead, and Choke O right in the middle of both of them. The Cardinals are up 5-0 on the Stros, and the Reds face Halladay and Hamels the next two days. The Reds may head to the break on a terrible note.
