I think it will boil down to line play, we clearly lost a ton of quality up front so the returning linemen have a lot to prove. I'm curious to see how Powell will be used, he can hit the corner but can/will he be able to run it between the tackles?

 

I talked to Chad Lawrence and he said it dont matter whos the line hes ready to show what he's all about and Lockard is strickly Fullback and Line Backer. Lawrence needs 2 seconds to throw and then he's gone 4.5 speed something Hemple or Pike know nothing about!

Simon Kenton is loaded on Defense return 8 starters. They took 3rd place at BGSU in 7 on 7 Chad Lawrence said they should have won it but they was missing a few starters on vacation. Should be a great year!

I'll try this again, now that I'm logged in. I've mentioned this before, but it would be helpful to all posters in understanding the various mods interpretations of the rules if they'd point out what they think is astray when they point out warning posts. I've read this thread carefully and haven't seen any un-civil posts. Help. :confused:

Gladly, we aren't going to get into any spitting contests player vs. player, or school vs. school, or era vs. era where we start to get personal with the comments. WE are all for the back and forth, good hearted kidding, and mostly informative discussion. The warning was merely a reminder that we aren't going to go down the road lined with personal attacks. I agree totally, and I think 6A football needs to improve dramatically or there will be calls for 8 classes or separation of private/public again.

 

Again? When did it stop. I just don't see the rest of 6A stepping up any time soon, that goes for all of KY outside of Louisville.

Simon Kenton beat 2 Louisville teams last year and almost upset ST X.

You cannot judge a team based on 7 on 7 tournys. I have seen teams like Bellevue in a 7 on 7 and show up and go 5 wide. Just doesn't happen. Not to mention the lack of a defensive pass rush and an offensive line being in the QB's vision.
