Did anyone actually suggest that?

 

My dislike of King Jerry is his behavior over the last 10 years as mayor. I actually like Beshear and was very unhappy when Abramson jumped on to his ticket.

 

I'm with you there. I hope Beshear wins just because I'm really excited over the prospect that Mayor McCheese might be somewhere besides Louisville for a while.

True, just off the top of my head I can think of Al Franken, Arnold Schwartzenager, Jesse Ventura, and Ronald Reagan who were elected without seeming to be qualified for the position. I know that there are a multitude of other entertainers and sports personalities who have been elected. Some worked out, others have not.

Bad choice. David Williams cannot win a statewide election. If he gets the Republican nod then write another big L down for the party in an attempt to win the governor's office.

What if it were Farmer/Williams? You can say what you like, but Richie Farmer is a formidable candidate for public office, and to quote the other thread, I believe his policy skills are "underrated." Williams is indeed an ignoramus, but as Lt. Gov. he would not be in the spotlight. I don't personally like the ticket, but that does not mean I do not think they are electable.

I have a big republican buddy of mine who plays golf with good ole Richie. I can tell you right now he is scared to death if Richie wins. So I am not sure about his policy skills. But for the folks that know him, know all he cares about is going to UK basketball games and talking to people about how great he was.

If Jesse the Body Ventura can win governor in Minnesota, don't think for one minute that Richie can't win Kentucky.

I total nightmare ticket, but a VERY electable one. As Hearsay alluded to, I think it is more electable as Farmer/Williams though.
