June 30, 201016 yr Did Stubbs see 9 straight fastballs? I know he saw 6 in a row his last two AB's. He has a long, long way to go.
June 30, 201016 yr Author I predicted that Stubbs would K 4 times today. He only K'ed 3. Big win for the Reds. Harang pitched well, with the exception of the 3 run ding dong. I predicted the Reds would beat Halladay today. Reds will beat Halladay tomorrow. Seriously, anybody know the Reds record on Business Day Specials this year?
June 30, 201016 yr  What's really laughable is you quoting me in a post where I said I didn't think leaving Leake in to hit was the right move, and then asking me in that same post if I thought it was the right move. Good to know you don't necessarily read the posts you quote. I was just using one of your quotes rather than the 5 I disagreed with. My fault. It was still a terrible decision. At least they got off the mat. They seem to do that a lot. I really like this club. I think that's what bothers me so much about Dusty's decisions. It's hard enough to win when you do everything right. I really want the manager to make the best call alomst every time. It just makes no sense to have Leake hit instead of Rolen or Nix or anyone for that matter. Big series coming up in Chicago. I'd love to see them get at least 3.
June 30, 201016 yr Just an amazing win and the Reds will head to Chicago in 1st place. I'm a Chicago fan 1st and foremost, but having followed the Reds franchise while living in the area, I hope they keep this going through the brutal road trip. How nice might it be to hear the Reds possibly adding a piece or two at the trade deadline and not trying to drop salary. Been quite a while since anyone has been able to say that.
June 30, 201016 yr I saw this stat while reading the post game stuff.... Votto has reached base safely in 38 consecutive games, the longest streak by a Red since Pete Rose did it in 48 straight games in 1978.

June 30, 201016 yr Welp Votto's going 0-5 tomorrow.. Even the great Charlie Hustle couldn't get on base EVERYDAY
July 1, 201016 yr Votto has reached base safely in 38 consecutive games, the longest streak by a Red since Pete Rose did it in 48 straight games in 1978. I noticed this stat last night, obviously it was 37 there...incredible. I sure hope that he can keep it up.
July 1, 201016 yr The organization’s minor league pitcher of the year in 2009, Wood will take the rotation spot of fellow rookie Sam LeCure. The left-handed Wood was 5-6 with a 3.12 ERA with Triple-A Louisville, but had a 0.63 ERA in his last four starts. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/preview;_ylt=AoPoamVkGpB95Z3yEl40ITDbzYd4?gid=300701116

This shows how strong Pete's 44 game hitting streak was and how hard it is to do it. Votto had 7 games in June where he didn't get a hit. Will we ever see a 44-game hit streak again?
