July 1, 201016 yr 2 out single for Votto, followed by a Rolen triple puts the Reds up 1-0 after the top of 1. On a side note, I think it's about time the Reds give Gomes a couple days in a row off. He's been reeling like crazy the past couple weeks it seems. Not sure how many days he needs off, but I agree he should for sure get one or two. He might be pressing a little. Maybe if he sits there and sees they could use him, but don't absolutely have to have him do well he'll relax a little.

July 1, 201016 yr Hopefully the 2 hits he had yesterday gets him going again. His average has fallen from .315 to .278 in a two and a half week span. He's had 0 HRs and I believe only 2-3 RBI in that time as well. He's struggling mightily.
July 1, 201016 yr He's hitting .203 with 0 HRs and 4 RBI since his 2 HR 6 RBI game against the Royals a couple weeks back. That comes out to 12-57....Yikes!

Gomes hips fly open, dead pull, can't even focus on a pitch on the outside part of the plate, and that with 2 strikes. Seems he could stay in a bit more and occasionally try to go the other way,,,,,or not.
