July 1, 201016 yr Unreal how a pitcher can be cruising along like Wood was, then out of nowhere forget how to throw a strike....Gotta get him out now.
July 1, 201016 yr As much as I wanted to see him finish the game, I am real surprised Dusty let him go back out there. Seems like he is real big on getting them out before they have a chance to lose the game

Seems like he is real big on getting them out before they have a chance to lose the game He had thrown 79 pitches in 7 innings...No manager is going to take that guy out of the game.
July 1, 201016 yr Like I said, with the lead only 2-0, I was actually surprised Dusty didn't. Seems he has done similiar things in the past......

July 1, 201016 yr I do not know the stats, but I can tell you I have heard Dusty say in his post game on a couple of occassions this year that he took out the young guy because he did not want him to get a loss. Wanted him to get a win or no decision.
July 1, 201016 yr  Way to go Masset. Yep!! every time you think he is getting back to where you can depend on him.........
July 1, 201016 yr I swear if any team is looking for a pitcher that is unflappable at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, Nick Masset is their guy.
