Everyone ready to stop complaining about Stubbs he is our 8th hitter and had 40 RBIs.

Agreed!!!!

I love what Stubbs has to offer. Speed to burn, 40 ribeyes, great pop, tremendous upside. He will strikeout less as he gains experience. Not much to complain about IMO.

Man I think the Reds should start sitting Stubbs...he's not helping the team at all right now

If he's striking out 7 out of 10 times, I believe, as a paying fan, I have the right to complain. I gave him credit today because he played well but when he's playing like an idiot, I'll complain.

I have yet to see him play like an idiot.

Booting balls in centerfield and striking out 3 times in 9 pitches is pretty dumb play to me..

What ball did he boot in CF? Are you talking about the ball where he ran to the wall and reached up and bobbled it?

Yes. That was a bad day for Stubbs but when I say he "needed to be benched" I don't think Heisey needs to be our everyday CFer by that statement. I think he needed time off like he received and look at the result.

If that's your argument against his defensive ability I'd say you're grasping. His D is very good and its going to get better.

I never said his defensive ability was poor, I just said he was having a bad day/week and needed time off. Especially to fix his swing. Everyone is hopping right back on the Drew Stubbs bandwagon which is fine, but if he starts playing like he did the past week before the game today, don't complain. That's all I'm saying. I'm not ready to hop back on until he shows consistent mistake free baseball. No one is perfect but striking out 7 times out of 10 is unacceptable and he deserved to be benched last night, not because he needed rest, but because he needed fixing. He played well today and props to him, but we need to see more consistent play before I'm hopping on.

You guys must be forgetting who the Reds have had in CF field the last couple of seasons. Come on! Stubbs is a young dude, he's gonna have some growing pains. Hard to believe we have people hatin on him. He's a huge upgrade over what they had been wheeling out there.
