formerkywrestler
Thinking of getting a tattoo that will be on my wrist. My concern is that I'm out in the sun a lot and swimming as well. Some of this can't be avoided. Is there a length of time before I can do these things or are there preventative measures I can take to make sure the tat isn't harmed? malachicrunch
My daughter and I recently had a conversation concerning tattoos. I asked here if she thought she'd ever get one. Her reply," would ya put a bumper sticker on a Bentley?"

MJAlltheWay24
If I remember correctly when I got mine, it was recommend that you stay out of the water for like two weeks. I think the chlorine messes with it or something.

And thanks for the actual advice as opposed to the rest of drivel so far. :thumb: :thumb:
MJAlltheWay24
I would imagine that it might be a little risky due to infection, but I am certainly no expert lol. I think part of the worry for the tattoo is that it may change the color or shade of it. Best to just ask someone at the tattoo parlor, I would imagine. Clyde
I know I'm in the minority but I just don't get the fascination with ink on the body. I've never once said "wow that looks outstanding." But , they, that's just me.

GaViking
I knew someone who got tattoo's many years ago and they regretted it very much after the fact. They fade and are not attractive.
