June 13, 201016 yr That's not the point at all. What are you even talking about? The point is that's why I believe they threw inside on him 2 ABs in a row. Doesn't mean they should have, but they did. Please....one of the HPB grazed his jersey. That pitch might have been 2 inches off the plate. Throwing inside is the best way to get Gomes out. If you miss out over the plate on him, he'll make you pay. The one up and in might have had intent and it might not have. I don't think so, but you can think what you want
June 13, 201016 yr Well, he would be watching better teams.... Better, ballsier teams. Nice guys always finish last.
June 13, 201016 yr Well, he would be watching better teams.... True. Its a shame the Reds have a much better chance of making the playoffs than one of the top three in the AL East.
June 13, 201016 yr Guys...who cares? lol I was hanging out with a good friend who is (unforunately for him) a big Cubs fan. He said that it is really funny being around Reds fans all the time now because of how excited they are and into the Reds. His quote, "It's funny how whenever I'm with you guys, someone always asks 'Hey, did you watch the Reds game last night' and ya'll want to talk about it now" lol I feel like the excitment is there for the Reds and that is probably why people get so upset when things don't quite pan out how we would like...see Friday nights game.
June 13, 201016 yr Something I noticed the last two nights while I was at GABP... How many other teams can say that their 2-5 hitters are all hitting above .300? I'm not sure if they still are at this point in the day, but throughout this weekend, we noticed that up on the big screen.
June 13, 201016 yr Reds trail 3-2. Not gonna be easy scoring a bunch off Greinke. Gonna be tough to win this one.

June 13, 201016 yr Has he just not been getting the run support this year? I mean he certainly doesn't look like a 1-6 today (I know he won the Cy Young last year) The Royals average something like 2.3 runs when Greinke starts.
June 13, 201016 yr I hate Sunday games... If Greinke holds off the Reds today, they split(barely) with the offensively woeful Giants and lose two of three to the dreadful Royals. While maybe not thrilled with 3-4 against these powerhouses, I guess most will be satisfied. Not me...
June 13, 201016 yr Losing this series to the Royals would certainly be a disappointment to me, but I will move on. I just like the idea of staying more than a game ahead of the Cardinals. Even if it is only .5 a game.

I think most people would be disappointed with 3-4, particularly with the way that we lost Game 1 to the Giants & Game 1 to the Royals.

I'm not sure if they still are at this point in the day, but throughout this weekend, we noticed that up on the big screen. It's amazing how that has changed in the last month. We were at the Dodgers game earlier this year, and it was quite the opposite. Not one Red was at .300, and I believe at least 5 Dodgers were above .300. The paper has the Reds as #1 in the NL in batting avg. at .280. When's the last time that happened? Maybe BJ isn't as bad a hitting coach as we were thinking.
