Track the Reds (Week 10)

How in the world do you know what their conversation was before the game today? You just assume that Dusty chose to sit him and it wasn't Scott Rolen telling him he needed it. I'm sure that isn't the case, but you don't know.

....and how do you know it wasn't just because Dusty had his mind made up? Knowing the way Scott Rolen plays hard all the time I have to believe he doesn't ever want to sit down the day before an offday if he thinks it lessens the chance of their winning a series.

Why is it Dusty's job to order retaliation? The best way of going about it is letting the players police themselves, IMO.

Do you think Lou Piniella or Davey Johnson or even Sparky Anderson would wait for the players to call a team meeting to discuss this? Well maybe not Sparky because Pete would have been in the pitcher's ear before he left the dugout.

And if Dusty plays him every day you will be on here killing him when Rolen is on the DL because his back couldn't take it. You want him fired. We get it. Good lord...

What else would you expect from the Cincy sports scene, negativity rules.

It shouldn't drive me as crazy as it does because I know how AWFUL sports fans in this town are to the core but I can't help it...

You must just know everything to know that Lou Piniella has ever ordered a batter to be hit.....

So laying down a bunt with a massive ammount of space is just like putting down a sac bunt with a slow Rolen at 2nd? Seriously? Done talking Reds for the night. You guys are too much...

I was making a point that he could lay a bunt down. You should relax.

I'm enjoying a first place team flaws and all. Complaining over a winner serves what purpose???

You can't be enjoying it anymore than any of the rest of us given the recent history of this team but come late September if this team is a few games out of making the playoffs you will be right there with the rest of the sad folks saying what if we had only won a few of theose games we lost back in June.

BP is going to have an MRI tomorrow. Not a good sign. This could be a brutal road trip.

So we have proof he has laid down 2 successful bunt attempts in his pro career. One for a sac and one for a hit against the shift. You got me. Let's bunt him as often as possible...

Nope. You can take that to the bank. Winning in September is about winning in September. Just doesn't fit your agenda...

If Rolen gets hurt it's not going to be from fatigue. Scott Rolen tells everybody that will listen that he feels great, that playing on grass has probably saved his career. As for Dusty I think I am giving up on that wish and then if it happens I can celebrate.

DID YOU ORDER THE CODE RED!!!!

That's not good because he is tough as nails when it comes to playing with minor injuries.

I hate Sunday games...

If Greinke holds off the Reds today, they split(barely) with the offensively woeful Giants and lose two of three to the dreadful Royals. While maybe not thrilled with 3-4 against these powerhouses, I guess most will be satisfied. Not me...

Dreadful? KC has one of the top 5 hitting teams in the Majors. Once Greinke gets run support you will see a different team.
