May 1, 201016 yr If the LOI isn't signed he's free game, nothing more than a verbal. Exactly. Hasn't Cal already done this w/ Leslie? Committed to NC State, re-opened recruitment, & then re-committed? Is Kansas wrong for recruiting Selby after he had committed to Tennessee? Happens all the time. Just not this fast.
May 1, 201016 yr It did seem like a last minute thing, and I did notice his mom was a little surprised. The way he was talking just before he announced how he felt about Ross and playing with him and all, as he was crying, as if he wasn't going to be playing with Ross anymore.
May 1, 201016 yr I'm not trying to assume anything, but I'll bet GT would tell us that this kind of stuff happens all the time--players being recruited even after they've committed. So long as the LOI isn't signed, they're fair game. It's just that it usually doesn't start within the hour of the recruitment. I'll assume it...it happens all of the time. The whole recruiting scene is borderline shady business and has been for a long time. I hope the kid is happy where ever he spends his 1 year in college.
