April 14, 201016 yr The people at Kelly Blue Book would disagree. http://www.kbb.com/car-awards/best-resale-value-awards/best-car-brand Not so fast my friend. Read excerpt from article below. For the entire article, please see link. "Major automobile valuation services like Edmonds and Kelley Blue Book have downgraded the resale value of Toyotas by as much as 3.5 percent, and further decreases up to 6 percent can be expected, Howard said." http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE61A08820100211 I think it's being a bit naive to ignore Toyota's quality issues in the wake of recent events.
April 15, 201016 yr Today, No....because I bought one about a month ago. I have 2, My parents have 2, and my grandparents have 2. I have no complaints, plus I may have an excuse if I get pulled over for speeding.
April 16, 201016 yr No , but I would by another Hyundai . My Santa Fe is the Best car that I have owned in a long time .

April 16, 201016 yr Have you checked out the new Sonata? Looks very nice. I think Hyunda is still #3 in owner satisfaction. Looked at one at the Auto Expo. If I go sedan with my purchase this year, the Sonota will be in the mix. As far as Toyota, I will still consider them.
April 16, 201016 yr I would but I've never owned anything else. My 4 runner is over 10 years old and has never required anything other than routine maintenance. It runs like a new one.
April 16, 201016 yr ABSOLUTELY!! I have a 98 Corolla with 440,000 miles on it!! I also have an 07 Tundra my son drives daily. If I thought there was an issue with the accelerator he would not be driving it. The resale value is not down and to top that sales were up over 40 percent last month. I think the AMERICA has spoken very loud as to what they think about Toyota quality. With this recent witch-hunt by the Government, I also find it interesting how these people reporting sticking accelerators are always by themselves with no witnesses.
April 16, 201016 yr Possibly but doubtful. However, it is not because of these issues. I have owned one Toyota, a '96 Corolla, and never had any issues with it. Very good car. But after owning several Subarus (still my favorite car for the money), I decided to buy American with my last car. I have a Chevy Impala and I absolutely love it. My wife still has her Subaru, and when we get her a new car, it will probably be a Chevy. But, if she does decide that she wants another Subaru, (which she loves), then my buying American theme may go out the window. But for me, my next car will probably be another Chevy.

Since the government owns GM and Crysler it's only natural that they want to bury Toyota any way they can.:thumb:
April 16, 201016 yr Since the government owns GM and Crysler it's only natural that they want to bury Toyota any way they can.:thumb: Exactly right, and thats a problem because Toyota directly employees almost 200,000 people in the US. Thats not to mention the residual employment it has brought to places in Ky, West Virginia, Alabama, and soon to be Mississippi. This coupled with the fact that the cars made in the US have more american made parts than many other domestically produced automobiles.
