GRC... you say Vandy and Tennessee aren't very good but both are ranked? How many ACC teams are again?

Have you not ready my previous posts? There have been up to 5 or 6 ranked teams from the ACC throughout the season (not even counting UNC). All of these teams are sitting right outside the top 25, probably through the 25-35 rankings. IMO Maryland and Wake Forest along with Clemson and Virginia Tech should/could be ranked. That's what the rankings are right, somebody's opinion?

Maryland, Wake and Clemson are just as good if not better than Tennessee (different story if they had Tyler Smith maybe) and Vandy IMO. And heck, Virginia Tech could be too, only has 5 losses even though their schedule isn't as tough.

Point is, there isn't much difference between the teams ranked #20-35 but that's just my opinion.

ACC has more teams fall into that category. :thumb:

Vandy and Tennesee are better than anyone in the SEC besides Duke IMO. Heck Tennessee is the only team in the country who has beaten Kansas. Also right now Florida is playing probably better than anyone in the ACC besides Duke. Also Georgia has beaten Georgia Tech. I do think the bottom of the SEC isn't as good as the ACC, but if you look at the top 6 teams or so I take the SEC.

I think UK, UT, UF, Vandy, and Miss St. will easily get in the SEC tournament and I think maybe a South Carolna or Ole Miss may make it too if they get hot down the stretch.

After last night's game, UK, UT, UF and Vandy are locks. Beyond that, it will take a good run in the SEC tournament for any other team to get in.

Georgia Tech is like the 7th best team in the conference. Virginia Tech easily handed Georgia a loss. Clemson is 5th in the standings in the ACC. Earlier in the year they beat South Carolina by 11. I'm not sure what you're trying to prove with that one.

As for Florida, they got a good win last night but if they are playing better than anybody else is the ACC is also debatable.

1) You said the "SEC isn't even close to the ACC"

2) Even in the conference RPI, the ACC is one spot ahead of the SEC. Hardly "not even close"

3) The SEC has 3 ranked teams. The ACC has 1.

1) As far as total depth, no the SEC isn't even close to the ACC.

2) Nitpicking at things I say to make your argument sound better? Come on.

3) Look at previous posts I just posted. :thumb:

 And also that which players make up the top 2-3 is debatable every year.

It depends on the year. Knight, Barnes and Sullinger are clearly the best for 2010. Gilchrist and Teague are in position to do the same for 2011...

SEC isn't even close to the ACC.... SEC will be lucky to get 4, 5 teams into the tournament. I see ACC making 6 right now. Tennessee and Vanderbilt are not that good IMO. The depth of the ACC trumps SEC all day, every day. Heck are second to last placed team to the mighty Wildcats down to the wire. :sssh:

UNC was ranked highly when they played UK and were playing good basketball. They are talented they just have fallen apart and fast. They were a top 15 team when UK played them and I do not think anyone can argue that. UCONN was also playing very good when they played UK. Just because they have both fallen off because of youth does not mean they were easy wins.

Which only strengthens my points I've trying to argue. :thumb:

LSU is better than Duke, IMO. So obviousily the SEC is better since their worst team is better than the ACC's best.

Jon Scheyer - 18.9 ppg, 5.4 apg, 3.4 rpg, 1.6 spg, 3.06 assist to T.O. ratio....#5 team in the country while playing the #5 rated SOS.....

John Wall - 16.8 ppg, 6.3 apg, 4.1 rpg, 1.88 spg, 1.6 assist to T.O. ratio.....#2 team in the country while playing the #38 rated SOS.....

I have to agree with you, Scheyer deserves to be on either the first or second team.

That is all in YOUR opinion. Heck, forget what the coaches and AP polls say, let's just ask you!

I have to admit.. its pretty fun to do it his way.

Because he is the only person to ever criticize the polls?

Anyways, as Duke fans we don't expect any respect from UK fans and anything that we say even if it is true will be shot down immediately. Plain and simple Jon Scheyer will be second team All-American.

Basing his entire argument on non-ranked teams he "thinks" are better than two that are. Yea, pretty ridiculous. Would you care to add anything productive to the argument?

He very well could be 1st team.
