February 15, 201016 yr IMO its Syracuse just like Louisville last year. They played 14 of their first 16 at home with 2 being on a neutral floor. I think they lose 4 of the next 5 and i don't think they get past the sweet 16 round. IMO

February 15, 201016 yr I think they are all rated right and that parity and the "any given night" scenario comes into play more often than not. I expect to see 4 teams from the top 10 in this year's Final Four.

They had one bad game against Louisville (UK had one bad against USC, KU had one bad game, etc.)... North Carolina would have to be the move overrated. Pre-season #4 and now they are fighting to stay above .500.

Most of the time Duke and NC don't even have to leave the state to make it to the Final 4 I thought it was about this year. :idunno: Duke hasn't been to the Final Four since 2004 and have lost tourney games in their home state since then. Do we have to go back and find all of Duke's trips to the Final Four and document where they played their tourney games? Enter this one.....The 1992 Elite 8 game against UK was in Philadelphia, PA. Not Philadelphia, NC. Geez, can't have a thread without Duke hate, huh?

I don't really think anybody is. Teams are right around where I'd put them -- Except Ohio State, who I think should be higher.
February 15, 201016 yr Duke looks great at times, but they have their weaknesses. I love how Kentucky would match up with them, but I think Duke is a solid team. No reason to throw Syracuse in the mix with only 2 losses. Louisville has been hosed in quite a few games. Win a couple of those and Louisville's season could be very different. I'll go with West Virginia. If nothing else, they or Georgetown will probably fall out of the top 10 first. GT plays 'Cuse at home then AT Louisville.

Agree with all of this.:thumb: I knew why UNC was ranked at 4, but I knew they weren't deserving. Ed Davis has never shown me anything, let alone the ability to keep a championship team at that level when it lost 4 of its top players.
February 15, 201016 yr ^I would imagine he is asking how is overrated right now. Either way, it's still not Syracuse. As of right now, I think the top 10 looks pretty solid. Georgetown had a terrible loss, but they also had an excellent win. I have to say the top 10 looks decent.
February 15, 201016 yr UConn was overrated for most of the season. UNC obviously was overvalued in the preseason, but when you win a NC & have a program like that it's only natural that people expect you to reload some. I think WVU has been pretty overrated. As for Syracuse no way they are overrated. Isn't Wes Johnson hurt right now? He's playing but he's not the same. Only shot 5 of 20 against U of L. Some of that has to go to defense, but the guy has been considered a lottery pick this year you would expect better. They have a good squad and IMO are capable of winning it all, though they probably won't be the favorite.
February 15, 201016 yr How does one measure if a team is overrated? Here is the way I see it. Every team practices to get better. So that is why we play the games. There are to many things that factor into teams winning and losing. If you are measuring team as overrated based on losing to a lower ranked team then every team out there is Overrated.
February 15, 201016 yr Texas and Duke. I don't think either team is that good. Earlier in the season alot of people wanted to crown them champions.
