Sandwich game with the TN hangover and the Nashville revenge game. This will be a good barometer for the Big Blue. I am looking forward to seeing how they come out and play in this one. I am going with UK in a tight one. This is the kind of game this young team needs right now. March is coming soon.

At the beginning of the season I had UK with 3 SEC losses. South Carolina, Mississippi State, and Vandy.

So I am going with MSU by 8

I'd love to book that bet. UK will blow them out.

 Never saw that one coming...

Miss. State has won 11 straight at home, (including undefeated in SEC play at home) have beaten UK 3 straight times, and Coach Stansbury always seems to have the Bulldogs ready to play the Cats. The Cats haven't exactly looked like world beaters lately, so I don't understand why everyone is so confident about a UK win.

My confidence in them is b/c I think they get bored at times, but they won't be bored for this game. They likely have 3 of the top 10 players for this year's NBA draft and their PG is way better than MSU's. MSU's best player will get in foul trouble IMO and UK will roll. I think they're going to have a monster week.

If they lose my theory that they get bored won't look as good and I'll be really nervous about Saturday.

And other people don't understand why you pick against UK as often as you do. They've still won 24/25 games this year, so you'd think you would at least give them a chance from time to time... But any opponent that could present a challenge, you expect them to lose.

Why is that?

For me it's all about matchups. I've read about and watched state several times this year, and I deal with the Cow College folks on a daily basis. Just position by position State doesn't matchup well with UK. Beenock and Bost have nothing on Bledsoe and Wall. Down low Varnardo can't cancel out both Patterson and Cousins. Cody Augustus is a head case who should be a big, but would rather sling 3's and he cries to the press about how his dad told him their coach was stupid and should be playing him more. So I just think head to head no way State competes with UK.

Because I don't pick with my heart like most people do. They are a young, and inexperienced team that is only 1-1 in SEC road games against quality opponents. I think that the Bulldogs are a better team than South Carolina, and will give the Cats a much tougher test than the Gamecocks did.

By the way I have picked them to win more often than not. How many times have I picked them to lose this year?

Kentucky 74-70.

Miss. State is tough at home, they're 12-1 there and can beat any good team, but I think UK will still put it out by 5,71-66.

Did anyone hear Coach Cal say he tried to recruit Varnado but he said "no" to Cal? Coach Cal compares him to Camby, really likes him.

My prediction is that we will actually get to watch all of this game. The Hoosiers are not going to be taking the Spartans into overtime.

Orton gets some momentum blocks against Vanardo and then Kentucky pulls ahead and holds on because State will shoot the ball poorly.

Kentucky 76-67
