B/c the Casinos and online sites will get over 70% action on UK and they know it. They could have had closer to 50% action if the line was higher than 4. I make a lot of my predictions based on the spread. They're begging people to take UK tonight.

Actually it does. One of my favorite things to do is guess what a spread will be. Something doesn't seem right.

Yes. For the most part. I bet a lot of them and have other reasons to worry about spreads. I changed my mind completely b/c of this spread. The spread tells you a lot of things if you know what to look for. I'd say there's a 60% chance or better that MSU wins now. If the spread was 5 I would have thought there was a 60% chance UK covers. Vegas has no chance at getting equal action on this game and they could care less.

UK is the second biggest public play according to thespread.com and it hasn't gone above 3. In fact for a little while today it went down to 2.5. Something seems weird to me.

I do remember MSU hitting some ridiculous 3's last year. That scares me a bit.

Yes it absolutely changes my mind. You probably don't follow the lines that much, but I do. The good news is I don't win all of my bets, but I'd for sure bet a game where the line isn't moving up at all and in fact it's going down when 90% or so of the public is on one team. Any time Vegas is getting one sided action and could care less they think they know the winner.

 

Oh and I'd let it change my mind b/c we predict for fun and they predict for a living. They're professionals. They think the line should be a basket or less. It doesn't change my mind that UK is far more talented and should blow them out. I just doubt it happens that way now.

It's not really that tough of a concept to grasp. The rule to follow in point spreads typically is to go against the general public. Personally I think the Cats will win & cover but the spread being so low does make me a little restless.
