February 11, 201016 yr Can we cause pollution? Yes. Do we in this country do a good job of making the environment clean? YES. Can we cause the change of the weather or the rise of the temperatures? Heck NO. The whole climate change thing, or whatever the progressives want to call it these days, is a load of a baloney and is nothing more than a total shake down. Let me add to this...man made climate change is baloney.

Everything that goes into the environment, man-made pollution or natural phenomenon, effects that environment in some way. To even suggest that human action cannot effect our climate is simply ridiculous pandering to those who are unwilling to make the hard choices that will inevitably need to be made. All this scoffing is just a global Kool-aid stand for those who don't want to take responsibility for what they (collectively) do.
February 11, 201016 yr I'll have to look for the source again, but I read somewhere that for overall global temperatures, this was one of the warmest Januarys on record. Weather does not equal climate. I am not sure about across the globe, but in Kentucky it was FAR from the warmest. Actually, it was the coldest in quite some time. The first two weeks of January, the temperature never got above freezing. In the county I work in the average was just over 16 degrees.

I live here in KY, too, and believe me, I certainly know what our weather has been like...brrrrrr! However, we are but a tiny piece of the overall global picture.

I'm more responsible then you think, but I'm not fooled by the garbage out there that makes claims that we actually have changed the climate in such a way that we're in danger of some catastrophic outcome. It's all hype, nothing but a shake down by progressives, liberals and poorer countries that want money. It's all about the money.

February 11, 201016 yr Bill Nye, The Science Guy (with that name who can doubt his credibility?) on Rachel Maddow (I heard the sound byte on a radio show this morning) said that the record snowfall in the east was a by product of global warming because it has caused an increased amount of moisture in the atmosphere that led to the huge snow fall. He also said that anyone that denied global warming was unpatriotic :ohbrother:. So I guess in answer to the original question posed by this thread, less then a week.

The fact is there is NO, NONE, ZERO proof that changes in the earth's climate have a thing to do with what you or I do. Can you show me proof that if man didn't exist the climate wouldn't be doing the exact same thing it is now? If so then how the heck can the ice ages of the past be explained? Or the climate warming up enough to reverse the ice ages? It's like saying all the boats in the ocean are causing current changes and will cause a tsunami. In the 70's we were headed for another Ice Age. Then it was "Global Warming" That didn't pan out so now it's "Climate Change". It's all scare tactics used for a money and power grab.

If Climate Change works better for you, same question using that term.

Nothing... It is all the self-loathing humans fault... Now let's see how we can bilk some dollars out of em...:madman:

February 11, 201016 yr The bottom line for... (...apparently uninformed, misinformed, head-in-the-sand, unwilling to change, recalcitrant, irresponsible...) ...me is I cannot fathom the headlong rush to shut down our economy over unproven science. This is absurd. I understand that everyone has passionate opinions on this matter… but quite frankly, until all the science is reviewed, understood and made clear… including a large percentage of qualified scientists with dissenting data and views… it is asinine to move forward with such aggressive measures as cap and trade. I have no problem with the truth… whatever it may be, but I have serious issues with agenda driven ideologues altering, suppressing or destroying information that contradicts their desired outcome. Let’s open the doors and windows, let the truth shine in and act accordingly on the bona fide facts... not emotions.
February 12, 201016 yr Like most people, I don't have much useful information to offer regarding the subject of global warming. Thus, in lieu of unfounded hysteria, I offer these cartoons.

February 12, 201016 yr As of today, all 50 states simultaneously have snow on the ground.... Global Warming indeed. :bunny:
