I think its funny that people are knocking Cashen for being short. Burke is listed at 6'2", but I bet he is closer to 6'0"

Ammons at FC may be the best PLAYER in the state, not just the best QB.HE has great speed,arm,and is a great decision maker on the field.And thats just on offense!

He is also a great tackler (second on his team)and has some huge hits on his resume' on defense.He is also just a great young man.

Clint Cashen is one of the top Sophomore QB's in the nation so surely he would be at least top 5 in Kentucky considering our talent pales in comparison to other states.

No offense to Cashen because im sure he is very good, but being on rivals doesn't necessarily mean he is one of the top quarterbacks in the country. This is being based on his freshman performances and i'd be willing to say that the top quarterbacks in the country were playing on their freshman teams and not varsity teams as freshamn. With that said there is no possible way to tell at this point who will be at the head of the class of 2008.

I haven't seen him on the list, but Nick Petrion HAS to be considered...all hes done this year is throw 136 of 225 for 2415 yards and 24 tds and only 1 int...those are exceptional numbers

This is true, I will grant you but to see him outplay two D1 Prospects who were highly ranked nationally in last years senior class, speaks volumes. He had a very good line but none were over 240. He is one of those players that you just have to watch in order to get a feel for. After watching him play, most people just leave the game shaking their heads. He's that good!

 

I've heard people not just from Corbin say he is as good if not better than Couch was at this stage. Now will he pan out that good? He could but its doubtful as Couch was once in a lifetime type HS QB but 1/2 the player Tim Couch is would be better than 90% of other QBs.

WOW!!! He must be a stud, suprising that I never had heard of him until I got onto this site, but i had heard of Burke, Fidler, Anderson, Morgon, Black, Ard, and obviously Salin Simpson. Im not doubting Olinger's skills, just doupting that much D1 or D1 AA hype.

While the kid has had a good season, I'm sure he is not being recruited by alot, or any D-1 schools. Ky has Fidler coming in next season, why would they want him. D-2 or NAIA probably.

Burke is in a leauge of his own. He is creeping into that small category that includes Brian Brohm and Tim Couch!

Cashun is the best QB in the state especially to be a Sophomore.

You can argue that Ollinger is the best all you want, from what i heard he didn't perfrom to well under pressure in the first game of playoffs.

Who's still playing, Cashun is the BEST

Subtract Cashen (for now) & add Quentin Morgan from Leslie & you have yourself a heck of a list.

Everybody has their opinions, including me. I have seen about all the QB's in this area of the mountains, and have talked to alot of people that make a living in football in one form or another. From what I can gather, the people say this: Jr-Morgan from Leslie, Soph-Cashen from Corbin, Fr-Lewis from Clay. They are alot of good kids around, these are just the ones they mentioned the most.

Morgan from Leslie is a Senior..Don't worry, your one of the many on this site & in the papers that think he is a junior lol

I haven't read all of the posts, but I'm going to go with St. X's Brent Curly. I'm sure I sound like a homer, but what other quarterback is undefeated as a starter in KY the past two seasons? Need I say more?
