Coach Calipari: South Carolina reporter should apologize to Cousins

Featured Replies

John Calipari was fairly open about his thoughts concerning the players and the stories for the week. He said he told Patrick Patterson to remember that the folks who were criticizing him and the team were the “crazy 1%” of the fanbase and to not let that get to him poorly. He also said the only way to avoid such criticism is to get rid of Facebook. He commented that he thought John Wall “hurt” the Cats against South Carolina and that it was his worst game of the year. Finally, he addressed the Demarcus Cousins incident and said he believed an apology should have been given by the SC reporter, as the video showed no punch being given.

I wonder who will apologize first. The South Carolina reporter, or Deuce?

Obviously Coach Cal does not read BGP or he would know that the figure he gave is way low. Seriously, who doesn't know about the 18% by now.

Calipari is right. That is a slanderish comment. There should be some sort of punishment for him.

So there is a video proving Cousin's innocence now?

Best part of today's interviews:

"I've had all of you try to kill me at one time or another throughout my career..." (looks at Jerry tipton) "Some more than others..."

We all know the answer to that one.

That's what I'm wondering. Did the reporter come out and say he lied? I haven't been keeping up the past couple of days.

Like I said, if it's proven he didn't throw a punch, I'll apologize. :thumb:

If Coach Cal did read BGP............Well he'd know that how I feel about him and all of our players.

Even the guys that are not the most talented in the world are still Cats, and I love them for that. I don't care if we win 1 game or 100 games, they are still Cats and I would feel the same way about them (except for guys in the past like PSparks and Saul Smith:lol:)

As for his comments he's right, but I would hate for Patterson or anyone to have to delete their facebook. I wish they would just not add fans at all. They do it because they are nice, but I wish they would only have their friends on there so crap like this wouldn't happen.

Isn't it a better idea to wait until he is proven to have thrown a punch before passing judgment? Then there would be nothing to apologize for. :thumb:

The apology stalemate continues...:popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:

Did that really happen? If it did and I saw it I would have rolled on the floor with laughter.

And you're implying that Smith and Jennings did something wrong by your question. Let's wait to see how this plays out before we start dishing out blame.

Based on previous statements I would have thought he would agree with you Wood. Guess we only wait to see how it plays out if they wear red jerseys.

Exactly what I thought, but I guess that makes too much sense.
