I would assume that Wolfe got the job, but I would really have like to see someone like Lakunta Farmer get the job. Just another case of Jefferson County and being about who you know, not what you have been working towards. It's not right for a guy to leave for 2 years and be away from coaching (especially leaving in the middle of the year) and get a job over a guy who has been working hard and actually making a difference in players lives.

Unfortunately who you know is what gets people of all professions jobs, not just coaches. Has Wolfe been given the job? I've heard Farmer is the front runner being a Male Grad.

I know neither of the coaches, but I agree that 9/10 times it's who you know, not what you know, that gets you a job (like all professionsand coaching is NO exception). However, as much as 'who you know' has in getting you a job, 'what you know and what you do' is what determines whether or not you keep that job. Good luck to all men involved.

I heard Guy Morriss or Chris Wolfe and the other folks were left out and pulled out.

Sorry, guys, but I have to defend Coach Wolfe on this one. I know firsthand that he left PRP abruptly due to a serious family/personal situation. Yes, he ended up opening a restaurant afterwards, but that was not the reason he left. The man did what he had to do for his family at that time, so let's quit judging him on leaving JCPS when you don't know the whole story!

 

If chosen, he will run a respectable program at Male (as he always has). He's a standup guy on & off the field and will any school should be glad to have him!

You also insinuated Wolfe had not been working hard over the years toward this goal, & he has (many more yrs than Farmer has), & that he'd get it only because of who he knows. NOT TRUE if you know anything at all about Coach Wolfe! I understand Farmer is a wonderful coach, & I think they're all deserving, but I feel Wolfe has way more experience than Farmer to handle the pressures of a job of this magnitude. If Wolfe is named the HC I am sure he will do well, as he had at Waggener and PRP. Good luck to whoever is named the head coach of Male, and I wish them nothing but success.

If Wolfe gets the job congrats and good luck. However, What is really going on at Male? Isn't this one of the top jobs in the state. I would have assumed that some top coaches with experience in winning would want this job. In the final two, one is a graduate with only three years experience, the other has been out of coaching for the past couple of years.

Anyone know the name of the restaurant Wolfe opened?

Wolfe got it!! Farmer's Back to Doss and Jackson is still a Bruin.. Maybe Farmer will go be an assistant at Male, I'm sure they don't have much coming back at Doss. Jackson Will continuse to be successful at Ballard because as stated in an earlier post He is a class act!! GO Bruins!! Go Bulldogs!!:ylsuper:
