Newport looked good tonight# 23 had a great game

Newport will face the host school Dayton tomorrow night in a 9th Region All "A" quarterfinal.

Good game tonight. St. Henry fell behind by 10 early and never could get back in it. The better team won. Newport has a really good chance to win this ALL A 9th Region and is the type of team who can do damage in Richmond.

The Cru were well prepared but just too overmatched tonight. They did put up a great effort!

Newport is incredibly athletic and talented. On just the right night, does anyone else think we just might see them knock off Rico, Elijah and company, and find themselves in Rupp Arena?

Well, they beat the genius' cru tonight so it wouldn't surprise me.

Way to go boys keep on truckin along. Better not sleep on dayton though they will be ready and are capable of knocking you off if you don't come ready to play.

Not a fan of Faust?

Newport won this game pretty easy but if they make there free throws, they win by 15 or so.

"Defensive play of the night" should have been a goaltend. Ball hit the backboard first. Great hustle though. Newport looks good. Hope they win it, but have a feeling they won't after watching how focused NCC stays.

Actually, I like Faust. I think he is a good coach. I am just trying to bring some balance to the constant posts in virtually every St. Henry thread that Faust is sooooo awesome and he is the reason for St. Henry's success. St. Henry gets very good talent. They have a long record of success in basketball. They were good before Faust and they will be good after Faust. He does a good job but he is not the genius of N. Ky. basketball.

Good game last night, very hard fought game Crusaders played a very good Man to Man D last night alot better than 1 2 2 zone they played in the first half. Newport ate them up in that zone. Good win for Newport.

True too. Like most Catholic schools, they usually attract talent year in and out from all over the area. St. Henry's current group may not as talented related as other top players in NKY, but they appear to make up for it with hard work, determination, and hustle.
