Sorrell was a lot better than Jolly. Sorrell was almost unguardable by anyone not named Arrez. I wish the kid the best though.

I agree with the sentiments expressed about the harshness of some of the posts. By all accounts Brady is a great kid from a great family who has worked hard to improve his game. And, he has shown he can play. This season Brady scored 21 against Mason County, 24 against Holy Cross, 18 against Newport, 18 against Beechwood, 25 against Cov. Cath. and 17 against New. Cath. Congratulations on getting the chance to play at the next level. Best of luck for his continued success on and off the court. :thumb:

Don't think anyone is questioning Bezold but it was stated that Jolly was going to receive an athletic scholarship to attend NKU.

 

Big difference between an opportunity to walk on and a scholarship athlete.

I think the harshness comes from a very misleading topic. There have been three people on here state that he hasn't been offered a scholarship. When you say a player has signed for a full paid education and that isn't the case this is what you get.

Congratulations and good luck. There are so many other variables to consider other than size. I believe the PG for the 2009 D2 national champion Findlay Oilers is only 5'9" tall and probably weighs 170lbs. :thumb:

Congratulations to Jolly to at least get the opportunity to do what he loves while furthering his education. What's even better for him and his family, is that the opportunity is in their back door.:thumb:

First congrats to Brady on getting an opportunity to fulfill a dream!! A great kid who will give his best to make it work, and hopefully will prove many (myself included) wrong!!

 

My question for NKU would be if you're working to regain a perennial top 25 position in D-2, and chasing a good NKY kid, are you even chasing the best in his district, much less the area? O'Conner--Scott (longer and maybe more athletic)? Reiger--BBHS (far better all around player with the same frame, only more developed)? Smith--Scott (Junior guard, maybe next year)? Not even beginning to touch the 9th region top players?

 

Unless this is a walk-on opportunity with no promises, I don't see the reasoning for Bezold with so many better options in his own back yard?? Again, best of luck to Brady, and no disrespect intended!![/QUO

Jolly is a very nice player. He certainly has the potential to be a very good d-2 player. He has a tremendous upside with his length. If he gains 20-30 pounds and continues to develope his skills they will offer a scholarship later. Wow! What has NKU got ot loose on this?

 

I am in no way knocking this kid. He is easily one of the top players in the 10 region. All of this being said, I do like the Reagor kid from Brossart a little more. He can handle the ball and has good range from 3. He also has had to play mostly the post at Brossart so he can finish around the basket. I would also be talking the the Reagor family if I were coach Bezold.

Congratulations to Brady ! A great kid who works very hard on his game. I hope he has a great rest of his senior season for the Camels and completes his high school basketball career on a high note.

Are these other kids, that are suppose to be better, are they willing to walk-0n? Keep in mind this looks to be a weak senior class.

It continues to astonish me that so many of the posts on here are criticizing or berating Brady. There must be a reason that NKU is interested in him and some of the players that keep getting mentioned here are not considered. Gees give the young man a break. If you want to trash NKU coaching, start another thread.
