3. NKU Coach Dave Bezold has had some success and I will trust his judge of talent.

4. Brady Jolly is one of the best players in the 10th region.

5. He is averaging 18 points per game.

6. I am very proud of Brady and happy for the family. Good luck the rest of the season.

 

Congrats to the young man. Although I am surprised, he has the frame if he can add some muscle/weight, that should help.

 

Scoring seems to be his strength.

 

I had heard NKU was only going to possibly award one more scholly for the 2010 class. I guess this is it? I had heard they were mainly looking for big guys.

Congrats to the young man and his family! I would think the questions indirectly relate more to NKU's curious recruiting. They have been lucky to pick up some quality walk-ons the last few years, but I think they are going to wear out that welcome if they run out of schollys for these guys.

I thought only Holy Cross and Boone Co were on NKU's radar?

As a matter of clarification, Brady will be red shirting for the 2010/2011 season at NKU. Coach Bezold and his staff feel that if Brady can put on some weight and muscle he has the potential to be a good college player. Brady is a late bloomer as far as his physical development is concerned and he has a tremendous upside if he can develop physically. He is an excellent shooter/scorer and has a high basketball IQ.

 

Work ethic is one of Brady's strengths and it is his hope that his hard work will be rewarded with good results. He had other opportunities at other D2 and D3 schools, but it has always been his dream to play at NKU. He feels blessed to be given this opportunity by Coach Bezold and it is his intent to work as hard as possible to reward the coach's confidence in him. Any prayers regarding his efforts would be greatly appreciated as he strives to fulfill a childhood dream.

I praise him for his hard work and wish him luck at the next level. I question coach Bezhold sometimes in his recruiting but I am glad to see him sign a local kid. There are more out there coach! Good luck Brady.

Have seen Brady compete occasionally since age 10. Always a very good player and good sport. His signing gives hope to all the late bloomers. There are still coaches out there who will look at ability, potential and character.

Afi, Not sure where you are spotting all of this hate. Everyone on this post has offered congratulations and/or best wishes! I'm glad he is staying local so we can watch him play!

I've never seen the kid play, but he is tiny. I couldn't imagine him going at it during practice with the likes of former guards for the Norse...Stowers, Morton, Teague. I don't know how he'd survive.

 

But, like I said, I've never seen him play. Best of luck to him and his career with the Norse.
