Anyone losing weight?

Featured Replies

Since my long trip to the basement I have gone from 273 down to 216 ½ back to 229 down to my current weight as of last week 221 ½.

I still have 21 ½ pounds to go before I hit the first big goal.

I weigh 285, and would like to get to 225, but would much prefer an even 200.

In Feb. 2008 I weighed 300 lbs and was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. I now weigh about 170 lbs. and my blood sugar level is well below Diabetic limits with no medication. I gained about 5 lbs. over the Christmas Holiday (I LOVE homemade cookies) but have taken most of that back off. I went from a 50" waist to a 33" and I walk at least 5 miles every day.

I can attest to this.....All Tell's transformation has been amazing.

I slowly gave up fast food and soda then gave up all fast food breakfast itens along with soda.

That got me to 240.

Then when I put five pounds back on I started the P90X program and followed it down to the last detail.

That took me to 216 1/2.

I went on vacation and went back to 229.

Came back and started the P90X again dropping my calories to 2,000 a day six days a week and tweaking the program so that I could add some strength back being I ost a ot of it doing the workout part of the P90X the first time around.

We also took away the yoga from the p90x and added another cardio workout that is from the p90x plus program

Starting Saturday we are putting in the super hard insainty cardio workouts. We are going to do this slowy while still doing one of the P90x plus workouts and rotating the other regular P90X cardio workouts.

My first goal is to get down to 200 and then drop whatever is needed to get back in my size 31 jeans.

Without the diet part of the P90X workout this would not work.

I am also using this website(follow the link) to track everything I eat.

That's awesome All Tell. You are my hero. I need to lose about 100 myself. How did you do it besides walking 5 miles a day?

I am not a big fan of New Year's resolutions but I decided to make one for dropping some weight. So far so good. Need to get in shape with 3 babies coming soon.

We currently hope to make it to 2/5 (35 weeks). Total now they weigh almost 11 pounds (yes, my wife is a saint).

I started a few years ago at around 310. I cut out regular softdrinks and eat better and started working out 5 or 6 days a week and got down to around 235 but hit a major snag with the holidays and am back around 245 range now. I want to get to around 220 range but I have to improve my diet to do so and I like to eat.

I think you're on the right track. It's not about crash diets, miracle pills or cardio programs. It's about lifelong changes in what you eat and what you do. If your efforts are temporary, your results will be too.

My heaviest weight was close to 220 (I'm 5'11 and 28 yrs old). I got down to 205-210 and stayed there for about 2 years. A few months ago I started taking it all very serious, more cardio on top of my weight routine. No regular cokes, no burgers (my favorite food) and no other junk unless it was my 1 time a week cheat meal which was normally pizza. I've also been running alot cause I'm training for a half marathon. I'm now at 180 lbs and while thats great, I'm not seeing the definition I was hoping to see. And I feel small, like I liked having the big muscles. So I'm keeping up with my running but raising my calories from about 1800-2000 to about 2500-3000 mostly just increasing protein consumption. Will try and get back to 190 so I've got the muscles that I had but hopefully with all the running I'll eventually get the definition I want and have the best of both worlds.

I'm at about 225 right now, want to get down to 185. I cut out all the soft drinks and fast food and began this cardio program. Work in progress, I'll let you know later.

I have been maintaining between the 201-204 range the past few months. I am around 6'1", maybe a shade under. Only on a couple occasions after long runs have I been able to drop below 200. I would love to get around 190 and attempt another marathon to see how much it helps. Anything below my current weight, I will start to look a little goofy since I am pretty broad and have a larger build. My biggest problem is that I have chicken legs and no butt. If I were built normal, I would be a stud. :D

I saw a woman on t.v say she lost 20 pounds by just cutting out DIET drinks. A medical expert on the show says the artificial sweeteners increase cravings for real sweets and may effect metabolism. Anyone else out there lost weight by cutting out diet drinks?

Weighed 185lbs when I graduated high school in 2004.

Went for a physical for the Board of Education the other day and I weighed 238lbs.

I have been dieting for 4 days now and haven't drank any pop or anything like that. My wife started Weight Watchers but instead of me doing that I just kind of eat healthier based on what she can eat as well.

I plan on going to the Y on a regular basis once the snow melts and I can get out but until then I use Wii Fit, and EA Active to exercise.

If I can get between 205-210lbs I'd be happy for now.
