DJ was probably going by what Mueller told him. Ernst reported the same thing on cincinnati.com per Mueller's comment.

Does ND athletes have the same admission standards as the other incoming students?

I really hope he doesn't get lost there. If he came to UK we would be having a parade not ripping him.

 

I disagree. While most would have been very excited to see him in the blue and white, there will always be a group ripping on any and all kids. Just the sad nature of these boards.

If Notre Dame can keep signing kids like Austin they will be playing in the BCS Championship game..............

Congrats to AC!!! ND was the perfect fit for him - high academics, high level football [in theory anyway ], close enough to home. And he was a great fit for ND. I am sure BK jumped for AC immediately because of the academics issue at ND. BK knows there is no issue getting AC into the school. I don't know if I can actually bring myself to root for ND, but I will watch with much more interest and definitely be rooting for AC. I think he is going to surprise some of those ND fans and have a lot of success there. With his great quickness and cutting ability, I look for him to make an impact in the return game early in his career.

Not true. Tommy Rohrer, Highlands Class of 1952, played halfback at Notre Dame.

 

Rohrer would be the Grandfather of one of the new Highlands Radio Internet Twins. Too bad Tommy didnt pass that football quality, speed and toughness of the game down to the younger generation. We might have had 3 ND players instead of 2. Also, didnt Gino Guidughli receive an offer from ND and picked UC instead because of the QB situation in South Bend. Just some trivia, not trying to jack this thread. This is a Highlands family thread surrounded by a whole bunch of NKY AC fans. GO Irish! :thumb:20n10.

Congrats and I too might have to root for Notre Dame; I love the campus and I am a big AC fan; but my family had deep Tide roots and this is just going to add to the confusion. I was the black sheep so why change now....!

 

ND now has BK and AC that might be why I am so confused...Congrats Austin!

I am excited to see AC in the Irish offense. How could you pass up playing for ND? I'm not sure why Irish fans are all over this but a lot of those guys on the message boards are never happy and aren't really true fans.

 

Really looking forward to seeing AC in blue and gold next year.
