Of course, sadly, he is already getting ripped on the ND boards because he isn't a "big enough" recruit to start the BK era up there. I'm more than confident he'll prove the doubters wrong...

 

They have never seen him but since he isn't huge and doesn't have a huge offer list they are very criticle. It's awful and I hope AC doesn't hear about this. Put me down on the list that he proves them wrong.

For all the diehard ND fans, not picking on you Gametime, give this new era a chance. ND hasnt won in the past what 6 yrs with "Big 5 Star" recruits. Its ok to change and go after talent that fits one coaches system and not just the label of the system. Austin will fit BK offensive scheme perfectly and so will several other recruits that BK will probably bring in that the elders will shake their head at. No disagreement here. Although I was upset with some things that went down as BK left UC, he elevated the program to a status fans of UC football would never have imagined before it happened. If given the proper amount of time, he will have ND back in the conversation at the top, but he is going to do it his way, and there will be a lot of the "elders" as you call them that will complain about every move. Just remember this with BK. He is going to be given a shot at offense first. From there he will be used where he can best benefit the team...

There wont be anymore Mr Niceguy in South Bend anymore. They are in for a big change and sometimes this is exactly what a big time program needs is a lot of discipline. I saw the quote where AC says "I love this guy". I know AC knows what hard work and discipline is all about because he got it at Highlands. There is nothing better and nothing can make a kid fell more comfortable knowing he is headed into the most storied college football program of all time and guess what, his new coach is just a continuation of what he just came from. Dale was never a real yeller at Highlands, but buddy he was disciplined and we all know BK is. WOW! ND is getting ready to get rocked and they are going to love every bit of it. :thumb: 20n10

I disagree with a few points here, but this is about AC and his college choice. We'll debate the finer points in the CFB forum down the road... :thumb:

Thank goodness he's not going to do the lame hat trick at the Army game.

This also shows how much BK thinks of him because he is the only UC recruit without an ND offer to recieve one.

Connor Barwin, Demetrius Jones, Craig Carey, Marcus Barnett and a few others were moved to best suit the roster and needs of the program. BK is not afraid to make a move to fill a weakness from a position of strength. At UC those guys bought in and did very well on the other side of the ball. I see no reason to think that would change at ND...
