Coach Glasers birthday was Friday. What a wonderful gift from his football team. We love you Coach Glaser. You are derfinitly a class act.

To bad that the state finals failed to match-up the two best teams in 6A!

Sour grapes. The two best teams met in the semi's last year, T & X. What do you propose they do?

Wow... Congratulations to Saint Xavier for winning state, and in convincing fashion. I was one of those who felt that St. X just couldn't beat Trinity in December... obviously that is not the case.

 

I have no doubt that Trinity will be gunning for another state title (no. 20) next season.

Coach Glaser talks a good game about "champions in life" and blah blah blah but when he looks in the mirror he sees someone who can't stand the fact that THS, his hated rival, has dominated the big school State Championships for the past 10 years. His hat tipping, I believe, gave all of us a look at the real coach. Game of life speeches play well to the parents and administrators and Glaser isn't the first and only coach to use that line or extend an invitation to help his players as they move forward in life.

By the way congratulations to the Tigers and especially the Lourdes boys on the team. You proved you were the best this season. Savor the victory, you'll never forget it. For the Senior Rock's, it's a tough pill to swallow right now, but remember what you've achieved your four years. You're a great bunch of kids and have nothing to be ashamed of. Go Rocks!

This is exactly what happened on the 6A finals thread last year. All everyone heard last year was that the championship game was played prior to the finals.

 

I am just subtlety pointing out that it is wrong to do it now, just as it was for X & T to do it last year. I will leave it at that.

Well one team was undefeated and the other wasn't. I'd like to see what sports analyst would put one team(regardless of class) over another based upon scores when one team is undefeated over all and against like opponents and the other isn't, especially with one of those losses against like opponents.

 

It happens all the time in the BCS
