Well SK did manage to put up 34 on X and I believe that Trinity only put up a low 10?

 

I'm not saying SK couldn't possibly have beaten T this year & the earlier in the season the better your chances. But until SK actually scores their first point in history on the Rocks I wouldn't go counting any fictitious playoff victories if I were you...

Simon Kenton? Are you joking? Don't even join the discussion until you've won something or you'll get run out of this thread faster than you got run out of the stadium last year in the finals. Really? Simon Kenton making a claim of any kind even remotely suggesting that it is better than Trinity? Wow!

I think this post is a bit unfair. Teams change from year to year, and just because Trinity dominated Simon Kenton in 2008 does not mean they would be able to do the same in 2009. I think most people on here believe that Trinity was down this year compared to 2008, and that SK was improved this year compared to 2008. While it's true that SK does not have a long history of postseason success, it's also true that SK gave eventual 6A champion St. X all they could handle this year.

 

Also, I think I should remind you that back in 2004 Trinity got beat by Dixie from NKY... I bet not too many Trinity fans were very worried about that game before it was played, given the success Trinity has had over the large NKY schools historically. They still got beat, though. Who knows whether SK would have beaten Trinity this year. It's at least something that's open for discussion, though.

AS has been said on here repeatedly. T was "down this year" - rebuilding mode and apparently SK had greatly improved since the last time we saw them:D.

 

They did not play each other - so its all speculation. And, "on any given night........". What if the night they played X - X had their "worst game of the season.......trap game.....didn't take them that seriously ...etc." -who Cares.

Yes....to be honest, I wasn't going to bring that up, being that there were some awesome young men leading our program...but that entire year, never felt right, no doubt about that.

There were some awesome young men leading the program in 2004 just as there was in 2009. We just didn't have enough talent each of these years to overtake the Tigers. Next years Rocks will be even younger and has a very small Senior class. A number of inexperienced Juniors and Sophomores are going to have to grow up pretty quick especially at QB and on both lines. Hit the weight room hard boys, St.X will have another experienced Senior class with Brohm leading the way. It will be another exciting year as always.

Kragthorpe moved to Tulsa on Sunday. Trinity will have a seldom used Senior QB in Fredrick next year however based on the last three weeks of practice this year, they were using a Freshman with the second team. I don't know the kids name but I am assuming he will be front runner.

Where does soph Jackson Noe fit in? Didn't he start a game or two when Kragthorpe was sidelined?

My prediction is that Trinity's starting QB next year hasn't enrolled yet.
