Boyle County 13 Bell County 10

Featured Replies

Was it a late hit or helmet to helmet contact? I was confused by the call. I must have blinked for a minute.

I don't know what it was they never really said. I think what really made it so bad was who called it. the back judge is the one who should have made the call. Not the line judge IMO. Oh well good luck.

Bad bad weekend in Bell Co. Life is somewhat more important than getting on here and giving congrats.

Great game. The turning point was the phanton late hit in the 2nd quarter that set-up Boyle's TD. Who knows if that was the reason they lost but it did still not help. But those things happen unfortunatly with HS officals. :idunno:

To that point they had moved the ball very little. Another great game between the too. I really feel for Bell's 6 seniors. The younger kids will get a chance next year. Maybe the Side Judge will not make a call over top of the Back Judge next year.

But Congrats to Boyle make us all proud in BG.

I think this happened on Bell's touchdown drive, but I'm not sure, What IF and

Just Maybe if the official on the Boyle County side would have called offensive interference on one of Bell's pass completion on Boyle's sideline then the score wouldn't have been as close as it was. Just Maybe.:idunno:

Congrats on a fine season Bell County and hopefuly we'll see you guys next year. This is starting to be a great rivalary between these 2 teams. But that will have to wait because we're on our way to BG. Go REBELS

Come up with another maybe b/c that one was not close. #2 had his hands on #7 for Bell as soon as he saw he was beat. IMO that is a heads up play. Could have easily been 6 instead he risked the penalty. #7 just made a heck of a play.

I don't think their is a helmet to helmet in HS in the sense you are saying? But the hit was with shoulder anyway.

No excuses just saying maybe? Pretty weak call IMO. Never the less Boyle won and is on the way to Bowling Green they have have a great team and program.

Sounds like Karma for Bell Co....

The week before the officials on their sideline let the LC players get cussed from people off the field on that side the whole game (we have our idiots too and so does every school). That same official stopped a LC drive early in the game around the 20 yd line by backing them up on a holding call. Late in the game he peeked into the huddle for about 8 seconds and decided to eject a LC player. The momentum changer for the game without a doubt was 10 seconds left in the half. The same official threw a phantom flag on #1. He said #1 pushed him in the chest with 2 hands.

It would have been 4th down 7-0 game about 10 seconds before the half. Instead the phantom flag led to an ejection and gave Bell the ball on the goaline. It was the momentum changer of the game. Talk is cheap so you can watch for yourself. Let the video load all the way then drag the bar to almost the end. http://www.thelevisalazer.com/?cat=21

At the end of the day Bell is better than LC and Boyle is better than Bell. All 3 have had great seasons. I look for all 3 to be really good again next year too. Congrats to the Bell Sr's on a great run. You guys have represented well. Best of luck to Boyle Co. I hope you guys win it all. It still amazes me the amount of talent that comes out of county schools like Bell and Boyle. I guess the speed amazes me more than anything! Both are really well coached too!

Sure doesn't sound that way to me.

Whatever. I guess the notion of the team whose defense shut down the vaunted running attack of Bell and the idea that Boyle still put up over 200 yards rushing with or without one penalty is something that must be so foreign there has to be a grand conspiracy. :ohbrother:

Well Said. :thumb:

At the end of the day, for some the matter of vision and interpretation will always be clouded by the color of the jerseys in the frame. :isurrender:

Maybe then, Coach French was upset and throwing his hat because #2 did not hand check #7 a little more harder.

It was no phantom call, it was a pass play, the ball was over thrown to the Boyle receiver, and # 10 after the play was over, decided to deliver a hit any way, I had my eyes right on the play. Also one of the Bell Co. linebackers a series or two earlier, after the whistle had blown head butted a Boyle player in the face mask, it was evident it was intentional and after the whistle. In my opinion Bell Co. was trying to intimidate Boyle Co. from the beginning and it worked for about the first half. Then Boyle got tough too and the rest is history.:thumb:

I would say he was upset b/c the call did not go thier way? Nobody is making excuses just saying it was a HUGE turning point. Heck everyone can make excuses, seems some Black and Gold fans had plenty last year.

Don't make a fire where their is no smoke. Boyle made the plays when they had too, Bell did not.

I wish Boyle luck. Most of the fans I talked to were 1st class in every way.

I was amazed at how poor the field was. I can see why the Boyle boosters and coaches are very upset at the lack of intrest from the BOE toward the field. It needs some work. Very similar to the issues we have at Bell.

I think turf is going in for next year.

I have heard that as well, about the turf. A program such as Boyle's deserves a first class field. It is a shame that the County schools in this current state of the economy are strapped and can't take care of the athletics programs that are so vital to a school.

I watched that play a time or two. I may be a little biased but it looked to me that #7 pulled #2 inside of him after #2 was in good position and then jumped up and made a nice catch. Either way you put it was a nice catch. However, at the end of the game the score was 13-10 in Boyle County's favor. Slice it up however you guys want but Boyle County won the game.

I agree. I believe the turf will be layed out next year! :thumb:

I'm hearing that was the last game on grass. Nothing is 100% for sure, but I was told 80/20 was the odds.

Great news and well deserved. :thumb: Hope to see you all pull out the W for the BBBBBBeasts from the EAST. :ylsuper:

Notice the focus on B's. Bell and Boyle. Maybe we can keep the hardware rotating between us for next few years.

Bell loses some talented seniors but only 6 of them. I think we have a shot to be in the hunt again next year.
