November 1, 200916 yr Author The margin of victory is the only thing I'd pick on about this. I really am not faulting USC for losing to a top 10 team on the road, especially when that road game is in Autzen, which is a bear to play in. Remember when Dixon and Oregon beat them there in 2007? That's a tough road game. But 27 points? There's no defense for that. USC has to take a significant drop for this.
November 1, 200916 yr So I suspect we'll see USC at #6 in the BCS poll next week. :lol: :lol: :thumb: Why not #3, Bama was idle this week. I can't say enough about the job the coach at Oregon has done after that first week beating and then embarrasment after the Boise State game. Oregon deserves to move up and USC hopefully will drop out of the top 10.

Oregon/USC Updates They shouldn't, but yeah, they might. The USC name is the only thing I think that would justify it in their minds. I know there's no excuse for moving them ahead when Boise State demolished them so thoroughly.

I recall someone told you last week in the Alabama thread who would win this game. :jump: Had USC run the table, they probably would have been, but that was because of this game. This was a marquee game.
November 1, 200916 yr BCS outlook: Florida (SEC champ) Texas (Big XII champ) Cincinnati (Big East champ) Georgia Tech (ACC champ) Iowa (Big 10 champ) Oregon (Pac 10 champ) These are the most probable conference champions from major ones and so they will be guaranteed a bowl spot. Possible at-large teams include: Alabama Boise State TCU USC LSU Penn State Oklahoma State Notre Dame The last 2 are unlikely but they are possible if they run the table.

November 1, 200916 yr I think Oregon is anyone in the top 10's worst nightmare. I think they are the most apt to beat the SEC elite, if they meet in the bowl game. That offense is nasty, I don't see anyone else's that comes close to having as many ways of beating you. I think they may start to make some noise in the title picture if Texas loses a game.

To me, it was the most impressive game a team has put together this season. Sure, it's not a great USC team, but to absolutely destroy Pete Carrol and the Trojans it just doesn't happen. They are the only team, IMO, that could possibly play the winner to the SEC Title and have a decent shot of winning. Texas couldn't score. UC would have a good gameplan, but I don't see them as having the players to do it, TCU would put up a decent fight but the depth chart would start to show, Iowa would dig to big of a hole, Boise is Boise. I think that a Texas loss, with a loss from either Iowa/UC/TCU/Boise and the Ducks could maybe make it in depending on how high they go in the polls.
