October 30, 200916 yr It's the blue stripe that runs down the middle of the helmet. I don't have a problem with it, but you can't tell me that it wasn't also supposed to signify a cross. The message on the back automatically make me believe it also has religious meaning. How do you get a religious meaning from the back?:ohbrother:
October 30, 200916 yr This is just my two cents, I am pretty fluent with my knowledge of football programs and their logos ect. and I did not catch the vertical line being the helmet stripe until I read a few comments from another blog. So right away I'm thinking it's a cross and then on the back it says don't be intimidated, it's just me and 110,000 of my friends. Well since I already think it's a cross to begin with, it implies to me to not be intimidated by a higher power and his 110,000 plus friends. Once again, that's my interpretation and I would buy one.

Of course, I only knew Penn State had a stripe from reading one of the posts above. That probably would have been the reason I would have seen a cross. If I had been knowledgable of a Penn State stripe, I might not have even seen the cross.
