Do you really think it is for the rest of the year?? Sorry to hear that -- if that be the case. Really good ball player and hate to see his HS career cut short.

 

The St.X team doctor is one of the best ortho docs in town so miracles can happen but it does not look good for him to return which is a shame.

Couldn't help noticing the X radio broadcasters' criticism of the Tigers running plays at the end of the game instead of kneeling to run out the clock. They were really blunt about it, calling the decision to do so "ridiculous." Interested in reading comments from any who were there. Were they on target?

It definitely was the chippiest game I've seen in 4 years between these two teams. There seems to be a true feeling of bad blood between the two, which showed after the game. Manual played the second half with no regard for the sloppy field conditions and ran their offense very efficiently. X was getting no push from the offensive line and struggled to move the ball, even before Buehner got hurt. Nonetheless, X got the win on the road against a very stout opponent, and it now seems likely that they will meet again in the playoffs.

 

What happened after the game? I heard that the coaching staffs from both sides had to be restrained. That doesn't sound like what you would expect from either Manual or St X. If true, it is not the sort of thing the coaches should be teaching the young people in their charge.

Of Buehner is out for the season then it is possible. I am not sure how good the backup QBs are at X, but I know he was definitely a major force in that offense. He is a great scrambler and not too shabby at passing the ball either.

Many X fans thought it showed little class to try and score instead of taking a knee. Maybe X coaches were looking to even up the score from the beating the Brohm led JV team took from Manual's JV's(21-7), 2 int's and a fumble.

We have several X alums kids as well. My dad played for X and I played for T. This happens all of the time.
