Finally got to watch the one about Loyola Marymount today... Very sad episode, but greatly presented.

I can't believe Ricky been in the NFL since '99. Seems like yesterday he was running wild in the Big12.

Got the two newest ones DVR'd and have watched most all of the rest of them. They have most all been good, I thought the fantasy baseball one was disappointing, not sure why, just didn't enjoy it as much as I had hoped. Ricky Williams' story was a good one, Reggie Miller was fun to see as well, and my favorite so far may have been Bias.

 

New favorite was the "Guru of Go." Wow, I actually teared up, great piece.

The episode that ran tonight is hands down the best one they've done and you do not need to be a sports fan to appreciate it. Set your DVR to catch it the next time they show "Once Brothers" about Vlade Divac, Drazen Petrovic, and their Yugoslavian teammates.

^ I agree, tonight's episode was awesome. That Yugo team had some serious talent and it's a shame that politics crushed a friendship or two. I couldn't believe how old Kukoc looked, and the part about the Croat soldier telling him not to associate with Vlade really hit home with me. Petrovic was a very special player and the NBA really lost out when he passed at the age of 29. The guy could flat out shoot and pass the rock, his last season in the NBA he shot over 45% from the arc with 170+ makes. I actually shed a tear at the end when Vlade visited his grave.

It was a very moving episode tonight.

I can't wait to see the Tim Richmond episode next week.

I know a lot of people here are not very interested in NASCAR .... but anything about Tim Richmond will be extremely interesting.

People always talk about how good Dale Earnhardt was ... well ... there was one man who never feared or paid homage to Dale. That man was Tim Richmond. Maybe one of the most talented drivers in history (unrealized talent due to the situation).

I have my DVR set for last night's show. The recent ones about the NY Yankees and Red Sox are overplayed as it is, and did not really belong on 30 for 30. The one about Terry Fox running across Canada was moving.

Last night's was one of the best and I have seen most or have them on DVR waiting to see them.

Last nights episode was really good.

I never liked Vlade Divac b/c he was a flopper. Last night completely changed my opinion of him. He seems like a great dude, and to be honest, Petrovic and his mother come off a little conceited.

I heard they have a Steve Bartman one coming out soon. That will be great.

Finally had the chance to catch it tonight. Very powerful and moving episode...

The Fernando Valenzuela (sp) was pretty good too. I was young and didn't realize at the time what an influence he was. It was pretty amazing when they went to his house he grew up in and compared it to what he had become in America.
