Because if Florida or Texas are undefeated, which I think they will be, Tebow or McCoy deserve it more...:idunno:

I said right or wrong, he would probably get it. I didn't state whether he should or not. If they only lose 1 game, I'd have no problem with him winning the award. But, I think like UKMF said, if Tebow and/or McCoy were undefeated they would be just as if not more deserving to win it.

 

You said in your post there are not many true freshman who can take over a game. Tebow in his Freshman year did not come in and take over a game, or lead his team down field to victory. He came in during a play or two in certain situations, and did do well in those situations. However I don't see how you can say a QB who only threw 33 passes as a Freshman was impressive and led his team. He was not even close to being a leader on that team, that was Leaks team that year and it was not even close. Tebow's Freshman season was not that great. Forceirs Freshman season is going to be ten times better than what Tebow's was, so I am just saying Tebow should not be in that discussion.

 

I'd say accounting for all 3 of a teams touchdowns is taking over a game. Also, I think Tebow and most collegiate players would take being a key member of a title team over what Forcier is doing. I don't think we need to compare the Big10 to the SEC.

What I'm saying is that not too many Frosh QB's excel. Those two did.

First off Barkely at the beggining of the year was seen as being the back-up. No offense he is not that good, he is ok. It is the other impact players for USC that makes him look good.

 

Barkley is better than most Freshman. Yes, he is still a true Freshman. Yes, he has other impact players around him. That is why they are going to win. They are the better Football Team. Yes, if Barkley had played against UW, they win by two TD's or more. However, they still should have won. 3 TO's inside the 15 yard line would hurt any Football Team, no matter who they are playing. Anyway, USC wins 31-17.

I am going with ND in this one. (As always) here is my reasoning:

 

1. Jimmy Claussen is quite possibly the best QB in the country (besides Tebow)

 

2. The Irish have 2 weeks to prepare

 

3. It's in South Bend

 

4. Washington is their one common oponent and ND won while USC lost

 

So when you add theese up I see ND winning on a last second drive led by Claussen

You are way off. Clausen is a major prospect for the NFL. His stock has risen to where he is Heisman contender and the Pro scouts like him a lot. :ohbrother:

My offense Ny? The last time I checked I wasn't part of the coaching staff or even a player at UT so how is it my offense? I'm just a fan so how am I part of the team? You got me on that one thanks for telling me that I'm part of the team when I didn't know it! Your telling me Notre Dame is good? You must be drinking to much kool aid with vodka in it. Let's see MSU should have beat them. Washington should have beat them. Now your going to tell me would have should have could have. I know how that works I did play football. I don't care what anyone says Notre Dame isn't that good. They need to be in a Conference like everyone else. If they would they would have more losses than the one loss they have. The Domers might beat them but to say that ND would sleep walk through them is just crazy. Their defense would hit Jimmy harder than anyone besides Mich and USU. Do me a favor, before you talk bad about Jimmy why don't you watch a game. If you had watched a game then I know you wouldn't say ridiculous things like Jimmy is overrated. If you had watched a Notre Dame game this year you would know that if they had any defense that they would easily be 5-0 and Jimmy would win the Heisman.
