I think it will be a good game and could go either way.

Tebow still made some huge plays that year. The jumppass against LSU (along with accounting for UF's other 2 TD's), the 4th down run against Tennessee, two TD's in the title game, and ended up UF's second leading rusher despite "barely playing". Tebow didn't play as much as these other Frosh, but isn't it a little more impressive then in a different way? He was needed for huge plays in huge games playing for a title contender, and had to come in cold off the sideline.

I will say Forcier is about as impressive of a freshman QB as I have seen the last few years. It's not really that he's the best, it's his ability to make plays down the stretch. He is able to scramble around and find his targets, while leading a young team. UM isn't a great team again yet, but he makes them legit.

What I'm getting at is those two examples really excelled in their roles, where as most frosh QB's take their lumps. It doesn't mean that a player like Barkley won't be good or isn't good, I think people just need to realize that 18 year old kids are alot different than the 21-22 year old men they are lining up against.

I know this was said before his last game but didn't he get pulled in the 4th quarter.

I think I heard that it was reported later that he had a concussion.

Neither team has impressed me much so far this year. This might be one of the better chances ND has to beat SC tho.

Injured.

I guess I don't understand. That was classic Pete Carroll. He rides a bike around campus and pulls practical jokes in team meetings. He's animated, even goofy. His practices are open and they walk around with Snoop Dog and Will Ferrell.

Stafon Johnson walked into team today to energize his teammates. Carroll operates on a different level than other coaches, and I don't think it has anything to do with respect or lack thereof for any opponent.

You are correct on this. Pete Carroll repsects all of his opponents. :thumb:

I am not a fan of USC, but I am a fan of Pete Carroll. He is just a great coach, and I mean what high school player wouldn't want to play for a coach like that.

I think that is something that is forgotten somewhat about Carroll. He seems like a great guy and I couldn't imagine a parent not perferring their son to play for a coach like that. I don't see how he makes it work but he does.

I look for a USC win...their D is too strong and ND's D is too weak.

With that being said, this sets up for one of those all time ND wins that brings Beano Cook out of his hole! Hoping for a great game.

I can't see Notre Dame coming out of this one victorious. USC is just flat out better than they are.
