Jimmy Clausen being overrated is laughable IMO. He is probably the most ready QB for the NFL, and that includes Sam Bradford. Clausen will have 3 or 4 years as a starter, and say what you want about Weis, but the man knows offensive football. Say Tebow doesn't play today, or if UF ends up losing a game, I think he would have a shot to beat McCoy. I really would like for McCoy to win it, but he hasn't had the season that Clausen has had.

Why is Clausen overrated? Sure Notre Dame isn't great, but that's not his fault. He makes them play as well as they can, and maybe a little better.

My offense Ny? The last time I checked I wasn't part of the coaching staff or even a player at UT so how is it my offense? I'm just a fan so how am I part of the team? You got me on that one thanks for telling me that I'm part of the team when I didn't know it! Your telling me Notre Dame is good? You must be drinking to much kool aid with vodka in it. Let's see MSU should have beat them. Washington should have beat them. Now your going to tell me would have should have could have. I know how that works I did play football. I don't care what anyone says Notre Dame isn't that good. They need to be in a Conference like everyone else. If they would they would have more losses than the one loss they have. One other thing Jimmy Classusen is overrated! Sleep walk Ny through the Vols! I'm telling you need to stay off the Kool Aid they are giving you! The Domers might beat them but to say that ND would sleep walk through them is just crazy. Their defense would hit Jimmy harder than anyone besides Mich and USU. I will say USU wins this game by 3 touchdowns plus! I hate ND like I hate the Yankees! I hate the Yankees more though.

You just go have fun with Crompton hahaha:jump:. Classen is easily in the top 6. You just cant accept that fact because you are so baised. And you are upset that your team is not any good. Go ahead hate the Yankees to I dont care. I will love them all the way to their Championship this year. And last time I remembered a win was a win and a loss is a loss? But you would know more about the whole loss situation.:ylsuper:

You just said he was overrated and now your saying he is good?

Do me a favor, before you talk bad about Jimmy why don't you watch a game. If you had watched a game then I know you wouldn't say ridiculous things like Jimmy is overrated. If you had watched a Notre Dame game this year you would know that if they had any defense that they would easily be 5-0 and Jimmy would win the Heisman.

By the way was it 04 AND 05 when the Irish handed it to the Vols?:sssh:

Thank you ETS I feel that we share common interests.:ylsuper:

Are you serious?

Have you even seen him play this year?

I have seen him play almost off of his games. He with a team that should have more losses than wins. He won't be a good NFL Qb.

This thread has devolved, unlike the tradition-rich ND-USC rivalry.

I expect this to be a very good football game. USC's defense has played pretty well considering they have 9 new starters, but I don't expect it to be like last year, when ND didn't get a first down until the last play of the third quarter. USC's offense has been inconsistent. This should be more like the USC-ND games of yore.

They are reporting that USC deep threat Ronald Johnson and DE Anson Armstead will be back this week from injuries that kept them out all year. Johnson is a blazer and should help Barkley get the ball downfield.

Claussen leads the nation in passing efficiency, and USC has yet to allow a passing touchdown. I think pressure is going to be critical. Casey and Griffen are going to have to be big on Saturday. For some reason, Golden Tate doesn't scare me (Pinkard will be on him), but Rudolph really does.

I am rooting for USC to win, but I think this Notre Dame team is the best since the Lou Holtz days and we will see that Saturday IMO. Charlie Weis finally has a team worthy of the hype he got when he was hired.

I don't understand this line of thinking....This ND team can barely escape with wins over the likes of Michigan State and Purdue, but is somehow good enough to beat USC? Makes little to no sense to me.

Golden Tate is good, but he has never been one to scare me either. The feared WR presence that ND had was lost for the year in Floyd. He is up there with Julio Jones, A.J. Green, Bryant, etc. as an elite WR type in college football.

Maybe what he is saying is that this ND team doesn't flinch when the going gets tough, tight game or no tight game, they pulled out those victories whereas in the past they had not.

I don't agree with him that they will beat the Trojans, but certainly this ND team has more fight than any in recent memory.

While I'd take Jones, Bryant, Floyd, and Green their aren't many other WRs that I'd take over Tate. He has made some huge plays the past few weeks and IMO has shown that he is a more than capable #1 WR. Sort of reminds me of the Hines Ward type of WR.

His YAC have to be impressive too.

Look at the Bengals, they barely beat the browns but were still able to beat the Ravens and the Steelers.

A win is a win.
