I've said it before but i'm going to say it again, maybe someone with authority (Coach/AD Sam Harp) will move on this issue and quit dragging their feet. I just can't believe they don't have a designated wheelchair accessible spot. I usually sit on the hill on soccer field end, but now you have extended the fence all the way down around the soccer complex and I can't even get up there to be able to see. Now, I am FORCED to sit ON the track, not standing, but sitting in my wheelchair, I won't be able to see anything. Now how hard would it be for you to build a 16x16 platform/deck about 6 feet off the ground even if its off to the side of the stands. One should be built on both the home side, and visitors. I would say with the labor being done by volunteers or your shop class, that would be a great project for them, this could easily be built for $1500 each, Lowe's or 84 Lumber may even donate the lumber if you allow them to advertise there name somewhere on it. Now, if you can afford to extend that fence at the top of the hill that far, surely you can afford this modification. I don't care if the place WAS built in 1974 and grandfathered in prior to the ADA being passed I think in 1994. Come on Sam Harp and Chuck stallard, you guys are better than this aren't you, or are you just inconsiderate.

I just looked at LEX18 8 day forecast and it has a 30% chance of rain for friday. I hope it doesn't, thats all Danville needs is a slick ball with as many fumbles as they have had this year.:puke:

Boyle by 2 touchdowns in the first 5 minutes?

I really don't believe that Danville stays within 2 touchdowns. However, that's why they play the game. I reckon we'll just have to see how this plays out. IMO I'd have to say Boyle County wins by AT LEAST 5 td's.

There is real good chance you're right. :thumb: The Admirals have zero pressure to win this game. No one gave them a chance in '02 when they broke the Rebels win streak. The Ads are not likely to win Friday, but stranger things have happened. :thumb:

Was 97 the last year we expected a blow out like we do this year? Britts senior year.... I still have night mares about that game......

There is real good chance your right...:thumb:

That's what I keep remembering as well.

All the stars aligned for Danville in that one. Young QB for Boyle, Overstreet still weak and not himself in the line, and a solid Danville squad.

So is there a Turner like that one in this current Admiral backfield?

What has the series history looked like between these two teams in the recent past?

Now, I am FORCED to sit ON the track, not standing, but sitting in my wheelchair, I won't be able to see anything.
I like your platform idea; however I'm not sure how necessary it is. I sit on the track all the time, at away games. It's usually not too much of a problem as long as you get down beyond the end of the players on the bench. I would contact the school and see if a simpler solution could be found. You could also propose your platform idea at that time.

How recent do you want?

Boyle leads the series 7-3 in the last 10 meetings

I think Danville lead the series in the 90's by like 10-3. (playoff meetings)

Overall Danville owns the series by virtue of a long 16 year win streak for the Ads (1980 to 1996 Snapped in the AA playoffs in '96)

Boyle's best stretch was from '96 to present where the Rebels own a 15-4 record vs. the Ads in the last 19 meetings.

Highlights in Series

* Boyle and Danville tied 0-0 in first meeting in '65

* From '74 to '80 the visiting team won every game

* '76 game featured two 9-1 teams in the Finale and Chris Jones returned a late punt to set up the winning score in a 21-14 Admiral victory

* '77 game saw Boyle upset Danville 14-7 when they were ranked #1 in AAA

* Boyle won on the last play of the game in 1979 (35 yard pass from C.T. Wolfe to Tim Warren) 28-22

* Danville dominated the series from '80 to the early 90's

* 1998 Admirals Jeremy Britt led Danville to 60-7 romp over Boyle

* 2000 Rebels defeated eventual A State Champ Danville, 47-0 for the largest Rebel margin of victory in the series

* 2002 Danville stopped Boyle's 47 game winning streak 20-10 (2nd longest streak in KY High School history)

There are many more highlights but those are just a few I thought of.

I agree that stranger things have happened. Look, I'm an Admiral fan until they play the Rebels but when you look at this game trying to make a prediction, the Admirals have gave no one a reason to make anyone think they'd play close with the Rebels. You're right that the Admirals have zero pressure and you could also use the fact that it's a huge rivarly game. I just happen to think(personal opinion) that the Rebels will win this game Friday by a decent margin. But don't blink, the Admirals will be back on top before we know it. :thumb:

Boy, I sure hope I don't get proved wrong about the game. :p

Hatz with the facts! Nice post. :thumb:

This information is not correct. Over the last 19 games would include seasons '91 thru '95 (no Boyle wins) Danville has won 10 of the last 19. Start the figures in '96playoffs Boyle has won 9 of last 13 games.

That's what I keep remembering as well.

Maybe not yet...but could be...Pepe Brand...:thumb:

Had an opportunity or two to watch him play this season. Good back right now and will only continue to get better. :thumb:
