Danville opponents 16-6 Boyle's 4-14

Good point.

And against those opponents Danville has posted:

18.2 points per game

35.2 points given up per game

Against their 4-14 opponents Boyle has posted:

52.5 points per game

9.0 points given up per game

Schedule or not, it's not a necessary indicator between the two. Danville has played poorly in most outings against that competition while Boyle has done exactly as expected.

To add more interest and intrigue, after this week, Danville will have played(AP Poll data) the #1 team in 4A, the #1 & #2 teams in 3A and the #2 team in 2A. That is indeed a very tough schedule for a young Danville team to manage.

I honestly think this game is going to be a better game than advertised.

A week ago I didn't think the Ads had a chance to win or even keep it close.

I think a win for Danville is a huge mountain to climb, let alone make it to the top.I do think they can make it a good game for reasons I choose not to discuss.

What I do hope for is a good clean game from both teams.I prayer there are no injuries, and when the game is over that both teams can feel good about themselves that they gave it their all.:thumb:

I hope you are right. I'd love to see a good game and to see how the Rebels respond to adversity, but my head tells me that we are a week or two away from a true test. But as they say, stranger things have happened and I could be all wrong about the Ad's chances on Friday night. :idunno::popcorn:

I agree with you that Danville has played a tough schedule. But, if you look at Boyle schedule before the season started the schedule looked tough also. I think that JC, Rock, Pikeville and Danville where all ranked. I think they where I'm not for sure. But as the season as progressed, Boyle schedule does show that. I'm not saying that Boyle schedule is tougher than Danville's but at the beginning of the season it looked pretty tough. Like you said PurplePride 92. They are a young team and I think will get better as the season continues. Good luck to both team and pray that there is know injuries. :thumb:

PS. GO REBELS:ylsuper:

Who knows? :idunno:

I have alot of respect for Danville so in a way I hope the Admirals leave it all out of on the field and make it a good game. Then again, I hope Boyle County blows them off the field.

Either way I look forward to the game that's less than 17 hours away. :thumb:

I didn't see the article from The Advocate-Messenger posted on here.

“You either do it or you don’t,” Harp said. “We showed stretches in the second quarter against Southwestern that we could play. But we’ve got to do it for four quarters against Boyle, because they really have it going. If you don’t see that, you are blind"

Hal Morris of The Advocate-Messenger admitting he was wrong.

"As several people have politely pointed out to me — although they didn’t need to — heading into the season I picked Danville as the area’s top team, with Boyle second."

"Well, obviously I was wrong. Boyle is not only the best team in the area, it’s not even close. They are one of the best teams in the state, and may not get a serious threat from anyone this season."

I politely pointed it out to him in an email the day after he made his statements.:madman:

I'm glad he can admit the error in his ways.

Boyle seems to playing very well this year. I'll say BC 28 D'ville 7.

Sports writers should refer to their profession(when making predictions) as practicing writers as they seldom get it wright.

One would think they would have learned by now never bet against a rebel with a cause:D

Can't wait to watch those Rebels.:dancingpa
