Danville 2013
I am not sure about the Kelly situation. I do know coach Perry's daughter graduated this past year from Danville. I think the son transferred earlier this year. Some have told me that Perry will still be working with another sports program at Danville after football season and that he was asked to stay on the staff at Danville in spite of his son moving. I think he is well respected in the school by students and teachers. He is a department chair and has been very loyal to Danville.

Danville 2013
I think Clay will do a good job, but that doesn't mean they will return to glory days so to speak. At this time the talent level is not great. A great example was the state track meet this year (very little from Danville). As far as folks sending their kids to Boyle, that has been going on for many years on both sides (It is a wash). This is a school and community issue not just a football or sports issue. Programs are not well supported. The school has too many activities and not enough kids to fill the needs in a lot of areas. Sounds gloomy, but anything is possible. GO ADS.

Clevenger back to Danville
While I dont quite understand turning down the opportunity in western kentucky, I do think it is a good fit. Must be nice to pick up a coach with this much experience to come in and be a position coach.

Clevenger back to Danville
His son is enrolled at Boyle, but rumors have it that Boyle will not have a teaching opening as they 1st thought. He did visit PSW with his spouse or so I was told, but I am still hearing that old saying that you can take the boy out of the country but you cant take the country out of the boy. Thats all that I can say for now.

From what I here, sounds like it could be a shocker on where he decides to go. I dont think anyone on here will believe it when it actually happens.

How Many NFL Players Did You See Play High School Ball?
George Adams from Laffayette. I think he played with the Giants (could be wrong). Another name I dont see here is Steve Compassi from Franklin County. I think he played a short while with the Eagles after graduating from UK.

EKY Coaching Vacancies
Are Ashland, Knott, and LCC the schools still looking at openings? I would think Ashland and Knott would be closed at this time, but I have not seen or heard anything.

How Many NFL Players Did You See Play High School Ball?
One of the names I do not see here is a Dunn (I think his name is Jason). He graduated from Hburg around '90 or '91 then played at EKU. I think he ended NFL career with KC Chiefs. "Its not barbecue unless its Dunn's barbecue"

All A tournament
Anyone who watched Dilce Combs win the tourney in('93 or '94) really appreciate this tourney. It is not as awesome now as it was at that time, but it still has great value to alot of people.

So you think this guy should continue to teach , get out of coaching, and become the boss of the next head coach? Very interesting:confused: Wander if he would consider moving to Boyle.:walk: Wouldnt be much of a drive, I here he has a son who also plays. Maybe a 2 for 1:ylsuper:

New Henry County coach
Coach Graham will do a great job at Henry County. Having played for Graham when he was an assistant coach at Franklin County and having kept up with his coaching from Rowan to Harrison and then Lexington Christian Academy, I see good things ahead for Henry County.

New Henry County coach
I agree with you thepointafter. There are many people who confuse "the system" with other forms of spread offense. Great examples are Ft.Campbell and Boyle County. Both teams spread the field by formation, but really run the football. Both teams will use a screen game and throw occasionally , and for good yardage, but they look to run first. I also did not notice their quarterbacks reading progressions and the like. It looked like they were focused more on one specific receiver or route. I also think that while Lex. Catholic did throw quite a bit, I do not think they were completely using the system. Bob Spires had his own passing game that was very good already. Still, things started clicking for him when their defensive play and running game caught up to their passing game. I know that Elizabethtown and Owensboro Catholic were very much products of the system, but Lexington Christian is the only one that is strictly system that has won a championship. But, while watching them, I think they could have lined up in a lot of things and been good at it.:ylsuper:

Will Dunn ruled Ineligible by KHSAA
I think it may be a little trickier than one might think. There are many things ,besides this one player, to consider.

Coach Bucket, The student in question never intended to live with father. Not all things will come out in the paper. (Thank goodness)

Danville 2009 = Mayfield 2008?
The 2009 ads are inexperienced, young, physically weak, and not very fast. Add to that, they have played a treacherous schedule that has totally ruined their psychy. Then turn around and people are ridiculing them at every instance, because they are not playing up to standard. Yeah, I would say they are on edge a little. Still, they are playing hard, and as a JV team playing varsity teams they are doing the best they can. What is amazing is that people get so excited about beating this team (as if they were beating other Danville teams)

Boyle County/Danville Predictions
This information is not correct. Over the last 19 games would include seasons '91 thru '95 (no Boyle wins) Danville has won 10 of the last 19. Start the figures in '96playoffs Boyle has won 9 of last 13 games.
