I hate the Gators, but what SEC defense was better? That secondary is nasty, Spikes is the best defensive player in the country that is not named Eric Berry, the D-Line is deep and fast. With the mixture they have of talent, speed, coaching, forcing turnovers, experience and just playmaking ability I don't remember an SEC defense that compares. Remember Spikes is hurt right now. When he's on they are nearly impossible to score on. Just ask Oklahoma who statistically speaking was the best offense of all-time. That's just the SEC though. USC's defense last year is comparable, some of the blackshirt d's are maybe a little better, some of the Miami defenses were better like 2001, and the late 80's. But this is an all-time great defense UF has IMO. I don't know if it's the best in SEC history, but it is up there.

 

You have plenty of first rounders on that side of the ball for UF.

Maybe if it is raining and bad weather, Hartlines glove will come into play and Tebow won't be able to grip the ball. UK upsets Fl because of the glove factor. Not going to happen but we can hope can't we?:jump:

Beating Florida isnt going to happen, I would be happy to see our offense be able to move the ball alittle against that DEF. I dont know if we can score.

Seriously? I have watched both very closely the last two years, and I there hasn't been a LB in the last few years I'd take over Spikes. He's hurt this year. Norwood doesn't do what Spikes does. When healthy he makes them the best run defense in the country. Without him at 100% UT ran all over them without the threat of a pass. And lets be honest, UF's starting OLB's aren't that good, he cleans up.

 

Norwood over Spikes? Nope, not a chance. NFL scouts would say the same. Their are zero weaknesses in Spikes game. He plays the run, has good technique, a great nose for the ball, and is great in pass coverage. Actually, at all phases of his game I think he is the best in the country as far a LB's are concerned. Spikes is like combining Maualuga and Lauranitis together, but with more size and strength.

 

I've watched alot of film on both, I don't see how Norwood could be better. Spikes is an impressive, impressive LB, watch the Alabama game from last year, not even Andre Smith could hold this guy. Just wait till he gets healthy.

I've decided that if I pick KY to lose every game this season, I'll still be .500, and that's not bad. KY loses this game as bad as Florida wants to beat them. And I gotta sneakin suspicion that'll be pretty bad.

If true, Tebow went from being superman, to a great college football player. Besides Tebow doesnt get the flu, the FLU gets TEBOWED!

Either way, dont think UK has an answer for the UF offense if its clicking like it can. Wet weather helps UK, b/c they can control the clock but UF's defense is better then it showed against UT. UK keeps it close but UF pulls away to win late 35-17.

One of the Florida Newspapers said that it was Tebow, Major Wright, A.J. Jones, and Joe Haden among others. That's four starters, plus Spikes is suppose to be out as well in the middle.

 

I'm not going to say that UK will win, but this is about as good of a chance as they will be able to get in the next few years.
