Just read on NKY.com that HHS announced the game as a sellout this morning! Looks like we will be getting there at 430 to get a parking spot and a seat!

Gates open at 5:00 PM, so you may have to tailgate for a while. Last time we had a big game like this, people were lined up all the way out to the front of the school, before they opened the gates.

Heard that the boys from CBS are moving in Thursday night. They'll be positioning all their vehicles in the area in front of the school.

1. Yes, they want to get in but don't kid yourself that TV doesn't enhance the excitement level for them.

 

2. Can't answer your CCH question. I would assume that any player who practices all week looks forward to getting into a varsity game. I will also assume that had it been televised where they could record it and watch it back later that they, too, would have been even more excited to get in despite the ugliness of the score.

IMO, they really want to get into this contest because they have practiced hard all week. Secondly, because they do not have a JV game scheduled for Saturday!

 

As far as getting in to be able to watch it later, all HHS games are filmed from multiple anges, downloaded and burned onto DVD and available for sale the next morning.

 

Frankly, I do not see the JV's playing this time around... due to a tight contest!

From what I've heard there are no junior football games on the big field or JV due to CBS taking down all their equipment.

My understanding is Scott Co backed out for this Saturday but has rescheduled the Saturday that we were scheduled to play Scott High School who has backed out...

 

St X was never scheduled to play the HHS JV team. Not sure why...

 

The JV boys would love to play the CCH JV team but I don't think the head coaches would want to tip their hat prior to the Varsity game...:bunny:

Friday night will be a very personal night for me. On the one hand my high school (X), where I graduated from and played football, will play the high school (HHS) where my children graduated from and one played football. I have been a fan of the Birds for more years than some of you have been alive.

 

With that said I look forward to enjoying a high school football game. Not complicated just very simple and very straight forward.
