Either 1995 semi final against Leslie county with Tim Couch or the 1997 game against Moelller. I want to say it was the 1995 game.

As an FYI, the Highlands-Cincinnati Saint Xavier game is the "game of the week" according to Rivals High, MaxPreps and ESPN Rise. I don't think Highlands has ever played in a national "game of the week" before... I'm thinking that Cincinnati Saint Xavier has.

I want to wish Highlands all the best in this game. This game and all of the attention surrounding it are of course a source of great pride for the Fort Thomas community and Highlands' fan base. Obviously a major reason behind the media coverage is Highlands' opponent, Cincinnati Saint Xavier. However, Saint Xavier plays games every week of the season and this is the only game of theirs being televised this year, so it is clear that Saint Xavier's opponent - Highlands - has something to do with it as well. Not to mention, the game is being played at Highlands.

 

The Bluebirds' football team - the players, coaches and trainers - have put a great deal of time and hard work into making this moment a reality. Without their efforts this game and all that surrounds it would not be happening tonight. With that being said, all Highlands supporters owe a debt of gratitude to the football program - past and present - since without the great accomplishments of previous Highlands squads this game would either not be happening at all or would not be accompanied by such national fanfare.

 

As an alumnus of Highlands and a fan of the school's football program, I want to thank everyone who has ever played a part - big or small - in making this happen tonight. To the current players, all I ask is that you take pride in what has been done by those who played for Highlands before you ever suited up for a high school game, and that you conduct yourself with honor and dignity tonight. Play your best and play to win.

Hmmm... then why does the KHSAA have all those forfeit games for Highlands listed as "0-1" losses for the 2004 season??? Did something change from 2004 to now?

 

Not sure because the more recent games that have been forfeited display "0-2" losses for the (for the lack of a better word) forfeiters. The most recent that comes to mind is when Bishop Brossart cancelled on Elizabethtwon because of the Swine Flu and had to forfeit the game and thus lost 0-2 according to the KHSAA scoreboard. Anybody care to share some light on this situation?

Got here at 4:45 and th line was out to the front of the school. Highlands' side is almost completly full!

Is there a link to watch the game online? Im pretty sure I dont get the channel that they will be on.

I am anxiously awaiting the inevitable "Wow, this Cincy Saint X team is big, fast and strong" comments that are soon to come once this game kicksoff. Its a right of passage as far as I'm concerned. The Louisville Saint X fans went through it. The Trinity fans went through it...now it's Highlands in the barrel!

 

I'm not sure the weather bodes well for the 'birds against the Big Ten type team that is going to grind it out on the ground. But that's why we play the game. Hats off to the Kentucky team for taking on this monumental task. I hope they win, so Kentucky football can get some regional respect, but having seen the Cincy Saint X team in action...the folk lore is true and I'm afraid the 'birds need a divine intervention.

 

I'll be anxiously awaiting the Highlands' fans comments regarding what they see in action. It's a machine.
