Congrats to the Purple Flash on a big win over a Lexington Catholic squad that made the long trek down to Lone Oak Friday. I was little skeptical of the Flash's numbers after the first three opponents they played...but they proved that they are a legit state title caliber team and one of the best teams down here in the far end of the state regardless of classification. If Lone Oak can get a little better on the defensive side of the ball they have the offensive weapons to make a strong push for Bowling Green if they can stay healthy and hungry.

LexCath is overrated. Everyone will find out when they play Boyle. Whitley Co. had them kicked to start the season but lost the QB in the 2nd half and ran out of steam. Letton does a great job with what he has but this year is not a typical LexCath team.

 

With that being said still a good win for LO!

^I never count out Boyle or Lexcath when it comes to those two playing each other. Anything can happen when those two play. Congrats to LO on a big win for there program, all the knights can do now is regroup and prepair for next week.

I agree 100% with you on that. But we'll have to save that for another conversation sometime down the road. Congrats to Lone Oak, huge win whether Lexington Catholic is down or not. :thumb:

Great win for Lone Oak. In my opinion, a better teams that the finalists two years ago. The Knights defense didn't seem to have any answers to the varied attack that they faced. Wonderful crowd and atmosphere. As a LC follower, I wish you guys the best the rest of the year. The Knights have some major poblems on defense that must be addressed before this season becomes a disaster.

Thanks for the compliments, I agree that the Flash is a better overall team than the 2007 state runner-up. However, we also have our own problems on the defensive side of the ball in the secondary. Both are defensive & offensive lines are much better this year than 07. However, 07 had quite a few leaders & an outstanding senior class. As Redleg alluded to earlier, I wouldn't want to face you guys again this season. Good luck the rest of the way Knights.

One of the better games I have been to.

 

The QB for Lone Oak, Looper, is the real deal. Although Lone Oak is solid all around, he is the catalyst and he controled the entire game. He has to be one of the top dual threat QBs in the state.
