October 28, 201114 yr "Theodore Rex" Another bio of Teddy Roosevelt. I love reading history, especially about politics. It lets me know how little difference there is between what was going on at the beginning of the 20th and what is going on now. Favorite president and it's not even close. I've wanted to read that one for a long time. Let us know what you thought once you're finished.
October 29, 201114 yr Just back from round 1 at the Library Book sale. Scored 4 different leather bound sets with gilded pages, all in almost new condition...15 books in all for $20. Titles range from authors such as Alexander Dumas to James Michener. Those are for my son and daughter-in-law for their new book case for their living room. Next mission...a wide range of books for below-level reading to advanced level reading, to interest students in grades 9-12. My daughter-in-law can build a library in her classroom. Then, tomorrow, I'm going back for $10 box/bag day, where I can fill my box or bag with as many books as I can fit in them all for $10.

November 9, 201114 yr As usual, I'm reading multiple books at a time. Still working on "Theodore Rex", but just started "The Singularity is Near: When Humans Transcend Biology" by Raymond Kurzweil. What makes this book fascinating is the fact that the predictions Kurzweil made in 2005 are further along than he predicted, especially in the area of three-dimensional molecular computing.
November 22, 201114 yr Just finished Stone Cold by David Baldacci yesterday. That is the third book in his Camel Club series. On to the next, Divine Justice.
